Please show us an estimate with of a dish, say for example Butter chicken masala, how much do i charge in exclusive type of restaurant considering normal case.. (Rent and liability to be assume). Please elaborate because I'm having a problem in deciding the price.

Ajitae Jamatia Its a good question and a very thoughtful one. Let me first clarify you that there are many things which you have to consider while deciding how you are going to set aside your Rent and Liability of your restaurant. Frankly the costing of a Dish is one of the factors. You also have to see the affordability of the customers coming to eat your food. Here are a Few things you need to think upon,
1. What type of restaurant are you going to open.
2. Who are you targeting, is it a fine dine or a QSR?
3. What is the turnover of customers you are going to get, is it in a market place or is it in residential area.
4. How much volume are you going to do (Your Pricing depends on this). The more the volume the less the price of a product and vice versa.
5. How many years are you going to split your liability. The more the better.
6. What are the rates going on in and around your restaurant for the same type of dish? You cannot be too high or too low from that. If you charge too high nobody will order and if you charge too low you will not make any money!

RAKESH RAMESH Depends in your concept.Number of items in a menu is inversely proportionate to the type of restaurant.The more the number of people the more is the variety.Premium restaurant Menu is more concise and lean!

Sir, I was looking for the dish size. Is there a proportion a normal human can eat. It might vary from person to person. But approx figure if any data is available, would be helpful. It can help design menu in a better way
That depends on the Age, type pf person and individual Capacity and will only be finally known when you open a restaurant.
Very hard to predict who will eat how much...
