Most of the background characters are voiced by Justin Roiland, who also voices both Rick and Morty, and ALSO voices Lemongrab from Adventure Time. But this whole episode was pretty much him just doing improv and thats why the dialouge from a lot of the shows sound that way.
Youre the first person ive seen that didnt enjoy the randomness of this episode. I personally loved the randomness. It was mostly very funny. And idk if your chat told you this, but the commercials were completely improvised by the creator

I love the twist they put on this. "Every family wonders whether they're together by choice. We just have interdimensional goggles to show us for a fact that we're not." Except they are. They were supposed to be.
Scoot being so invested in Beth and Jerry's relationship is so hilarious and different. They're whole thing was the least favorite thing for most fans back in the day. lol. It's very cute.
I love the break in character during the improv title as he laughs at his ridiculousness.

It’s funny u talk about one guy doing all the voices adult swim seen tht a lot of people didn’t like Justin Rolland voicing a lot of characters so they made him voice over every character in a episode 😂
Pretty much every alternate reality show was ad libbed and then animated, and yes justin roiland as one of the main voices just spitballs a lot of them
