United States Navy VLF transmissions

  • A short video showing the VLF signals I received in the 20 kHz range. Also included a sample of the 60 kHz time signal used by many household clocks / radio clocks and other devices. Below are links to information on two of the Navy VLF signals I recorded. My receiver is an SDR-IQ coupled to a Pixel Magnetic loop antenna.

    I'm picking it up in Florida with a ground steak antenna very weak but I got it. The antenna is two steaks 8 foot in the ground 200 feet apart.

    Which 'mode' do you use for the 24 KHz signals? USB? LSB? CW? Any particular filtering?

    59.6 KHz. Isn't that WWVB??
