How would you compare this to a dangling head such as a Waratah or Logmax etc ? I would think the fixed head would be a lot easier to control. Not as much movement.
Personally I don't think a dangle head is harder to control, especially in this type of cutting where the timber is pre felled. For myself I prefer dangle heads.

Any idea how much more the cf-24 weighs compared to the cf-22?
I don't know.
It's approximately the same weight.
Are you guys chippin the tops?
No
What model skidmore head is this?
CF-24
Whose machine is this?
I think JW Logging is the name of the business
Would you trade your ergo for it?
No. It's a good fixed head/track carrier combo though.
I'm confident it's as productive as an Ergo or similar wheel machine, I'm just not a fixed head guy.
