Like part of what allowed the course of the North Africa Campaign to shift firmly in the favor of the allies even before the arrival of the Americans was when Montgomery assumed command, he instituted front wide reforms to ensure ever unit has access to actual toilet facilities and clean drinking water, which seems obvious, but no effort of such scale was even attempted on the Axis side. Turns out, when your guys aren't constantly assailed by disease carrying insects that are gathering around all the human feces left to bake in the sun just behind the trenches and have access to a steady supply of potable water, they fight better. Whoda thunk.

2:59 They used the only vanilla KV-2 model which is the German one in 1. Ski-Jäger, a division that was available by preordering. That's why it has the German cupola on it too

@@FinnIstGut I think 1st Skijäger in game is part of the pre-order pack. You can still buy it for 5$ as an addon to the base game, but at that price point for the two divisions it might not be worth it.

Not sure why it is taking it’s time to fire because it had a rate of fire for 12 rounds per minute due to it feeds off of clips.
I only got wikipedia for penetration so take that with a grain of salt.

It would in a lot of cases cause spalling since the soviets heat treated their metal way too hot which made it very brittle.

I know about the terrible steel situation and if this was a simulation game, I would have mentioned this.
Sadly this is not a sim game and I don’t think any game developer could do any decent balancing for the soviets if they took everything into account.

@Bokoen1 the reason the KV-2 has German markings on them is because the only KV-2 in SD2 is a captured one from the 1st Skijager division and the early war mod doesn't do any reskins.
