This will always be my favourite car of all time. I don't care how shit people say they are to drive. I was five years old when my dad sat me in front of the telly and put Cannonball Run in the VCR. Life ....changed ....
This...this sounds like you are me...like I just read my own comment. I agree as well...and i was also 5... As a kid I also said it was my favourite car because the Lamborghini can skim over water.....
Interesting demo of the detailer's art. Great touch using the Countach as a detailing example. The car's extream angles and edges really catch the light and show off that great bodywork finish.
Thank you for yet another informative clip Harry! Even if you post videos rarely, please don't stop making them. I bet you have the most adoring fans ever!
Many thanks for sharing this video Harry. I got a lot out of it and some great tips on engine cleaning. It will help me to continue my cleaning of my all original 1988 Toyota MR2.
In Germany it simply is forbidden. You have to have a drainage with an oil trap, for a car washing site. You're therefor not allowed, to use your own yard with or without connection to the public sewarage for washing the car and the engine. But there are sites for that purpose with quite affordable heated power hoses and brushes and foames and powerfull vacuums for the interiour. For this video in Germany, he'd been fined by the officials, cause it still is sort of a bureaucracy over here.
Haha. I DO drive a Toyota (after many, many other cars), but not a rusty one. Came across this channel by chance (through a link from an early Jag V12 engine video), but am now subscribing due to Harry's frank and conscientious comments. Well done Harry. Regards Mark in the UK
For anyone whose ever balked at the price of professional detailing, hopefully this video can serve as a reminder for the level of skill and experience required as well as spruce sheer hours of work that goes into a well done job, not to mention the products used. Anyone who’s ever undertaken a job like this themselves knows just how exhausting it can be!
I used GT85 spray that was used in your video Harry on a Zenith carburettor that I had rebuilt for my 1965 series 2 land rover. It only took a couple of goes and cleaned up like new absolutely brilliant at cleaning alloy parts many thanks to Richard Tipper.
Thanks Harry , very informative and actually interesting. Because like you I love to drive my cars and I also like to have them look sort of brand at the same time, so I can get that just off the assembly line feel as well.
Dear Harry, nice job! The Lambo is so shiny that you can actually see the gravel on the paint.. This chap is doing really a very good job ! I must say the Countach is the essence of a "Hoot car" . Ps. : Keep the beard.... :) Cheers
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. A lot was edited out but the essentials were included. Obviously some practices went against the grain slightly but I needed to adapt to the conditions given and to accommodate the fact it was for filming.
Great video Harry, when i get them magic Euro Millions Numbers i will be doing exactly the same.. Loved looking at all the toys you have mate, keep the vids coming and thanks for sharing..
This is definitely one for my son Tim!He needs one of those paint depth thingys for certain, can't have more than a few tens of microns left the way he polishes his Arbarth 500!
Thank you for clarifying about the "rubbers" for us Americans. I was imagining some kind of emergency stash compartment full of condoms in the engine bay. Brilliant videos, as always.
Incredible amount of skill, time and patience goes into detailing a car properly - thanks for sharing. Any chance of a list of products used (although the £700 Carnuba wax was scary enough!) :-)
As you said, that you'd introduce Richard with that beautyful English country estate in the background, I was thinking of Richard Hammond, cause the Hamster simply could get his fingers into all those narrow and thight corners. But your Richard is kind of a giant.
don't know who and why you are, harry. but i really enjoy your videos when i stumble across them. very natural and you seem to have an everyday man's point-of-view.
Haha you were all perplexed about claying your car 😂 But its a pretty normal detailing procedure. Great video, good to see you're taking very well care of the cars.
I'd wager he was playing it up for the audience, asking simple questions for the more uninformed viewers. I find it hard to believe a man like Harry wouldn't know what claying is haha
I'm a broke college student and I think I'm too good to bust my ass with a claybar. Not sure why you think Harry would be out there doing stuff like that himself.
Countach is a timeless 'modern style' classic. To think this car design was thought of and executed in the early 70s. LP400/500 Countach for me was the very best in looks. I detail my classic 911 engine bay with WD40, it works wonders without removing 'factory wax' coating. Awesome car there
Harry's garage I'm about to graduate college as a computer engineer but I have found a huge passion in detailing cars and I'm hoping one starting my own detailing business like Richards where I will detail cars at people's homes. Wish me luck! Ha
I finally realized one of my goals, to sit in a Countach & see if 6' 5" fits. I'm happy to say that I did fit! The seat was a bit tight in the hips, & my hair was rubbing the headliner, but I felt I could drive the car safely enough. I told the owner of the white '87 QV5000, about Harry's trick of covering the gearshift lever with something knit, to cut down on transmission noise (he said he was going to try it). I found that a lot of the "well known" complaints about this car were mostly just exaggerations from whiners. I thought the car was WONDERFUL, even though I did not have an opportunity to drive it.
A good job. Perfect detailing. Although I will point out that washing and waxing should be done in the shade if possible. The car looks great after the detailing and there is a big difference before and after.
Love your Countach Harry but you ever considered a Diablo? If so which Diablo is the holy grail? Anyone know? (On a separate note never have I ever thought someone deserves success more than Harry Metcalf. What an absolutely fucking brilliant guy).
Thanks, Diablo good but feels a bit big and clumsy after the Countach. But I still like them, as they are such an event to drive. Pick of the bunch is probably Diablo SV. Thanks for watching
Harry is such a good presenter I would literally watch him review a desk lamp.
I'm so proud of my dad. Love you from James
thanks Harry, i will do the exactly same thing on my 1985 Honda Accord 1.8L SE-i
Manual or automatic?
AC?
asking the important questions
I wonder which product is best for finishing up all the rust holes, to get that nice textured surface of bubbled paint and pitted metal.
the picture of matthew perry trollingly smiling added to the hilarity of the comment
The car wins Salon Prive and you still get the detailing experts coming out the woodwork saying it's been done wrong. LOL.
Lol indeed! 😆
You can always improve on perfection
The bottle of beer was the finishing touch! Well done!
16:50
it brought so much smiles on my face.
This will always be my favourite car of all time. I don't care how shit people say they are to drive. I was five years old when my dad sat me in front of the telly and put Cannonball Run in the VCR. Life ....changed ....
The 5000QV is actually a really good car to drive, and properly fast even by today's standards.
That intro. :D
It's why DCTs sound wrong to me.
Yeah, and they take some of the theatre out of the experience.
This...this sounds like you are me...like I just read my own comment. I agree as well...and i was also 5... As a kid I also said it was my favourite car because the Lamborghini can skim over water.....
That was Cannonball 3 and it was a Replica that skimmed, but u prolly know that!
I loved the vid and your house Harry is absolutely stunning
Yeah, he's got an amazing house.
+John Fisher I think you are right on the house I only live about 20 miles away from and his area is stunning.
@pete smyth How do you know?
I'm so amazed and happy to see such a spectacular 87 Lambo, thanks Harry for sharing this bueauty and thanks Rich for the awesome job.
What an amazing detailing job, it's beautiful just standing still.
Richard is an craftsman, lovely work.
Interesting demo of the detailer's art.
Great touch using the Countach as a detailing example. The car's extream angles and edges really catch the light and show off that great bodywork finish.
Love the Peroni in the shot of spent supplies. Great intro to detailing, and a concours quality paint correction.
Loved that Harry!
How interesting it was to watch a bloke clean a car.
Fantastic!
Once again, quality video! Really cool to see how a monument of a car like a Countach gets a real nice treatment!
Thank you for yet another informative clip Harry! Even if you post videos rarely, please don't stop making them. I bet you have the most adoring fans ever!
Great video,I've been using GT85 for years on motorcycles, cars and road bikes and it's fantastic stuff!
Many thanks for sharing this video Harry. I got a lot out of it and some great tips on engine cleaning. It will help me to continue my cleaning of my all original 1988 Toyota MR2.
Absolutely superb video chaps, thank you for taking the time to do it.
omg harry, you just made the last days of summer better with your video. Greetings from USA Atlanta GA
Utterly brilliant. The care and knowledge demonstrated is so professional.
Wow, Richard knows his stuff. Really interesting. Best detailing vid on youtube!
Can't get over how striking the Lambo still looks after all these years.
I watched a car being cleaned for 17 mins, and it was really interesting. Would not have guessed that!
wow harry the car looks amazing, thank you and as always pleasure to see you.
the detailer has to be so frustrated that he has to work on that dusty gravel
I winced when I saw the Lamborghini on a trolley jack on gravel! They don't work right when they can't roll!!
The stone surface is better for absorbing the dirt and water run-off from the Lambo.

+AyCarrumba why?
Same here mate. You can't wash your car in your own damn yard.
Another great video Harry, 705 thumbs up, 0 thumbs down says a lot!!!
They own Ferraris.
People that own Ferraris do not watch this channel (or any other for that matter). Only people that drive rusty Toyotas watch it.
Haha. I DO drive a Toyota (after many, many other cars), but not a rusty one. Came across this channel by chance (through a link from an early Jag V12 engine video), but am now subscribing due to Harry's frank and conscientious comments.
Well done Harry.
Regards Mark in the UK
That was a great walk-around of the Countach on top of it!
Thanks!
Thank you Harry. Amazing video as always!!!
OMG 700 pound wax that's crazy!!!! Man this guy really knows his stuff the car looks so damn pristine!!! Great video Harry keep em coming!!!
Loved watching that! A detailed detailing video.
Love this! Keep uploading vids Harry! They're great!
Love the up close look at all the details of the car.
such good quality videos , thanks Harry, keep them coming

Another excellent video.
Good ad for GT85 too, amazing stuff. 😊
Great video Harry. Your Lamborghini is cherry and your little cottage looks cozy!
Please keep the videos coming Harry... that red looks stunning after the detailing!
Great Vid Harry, it was very interesting seeing what goes into a proper detail ..
This is my favorite car. Always has been and always will be. Also my favorite sounding along with the 250 GT
Dear Harry, nice job! The Lambo is so shiny that you can actually see the gravel on the paint..
This chap is doing really a very good job !
I must say the Countach is the essence of a "Hoot car" .
Ps. : Keep the beard.... :)

Hi Harry, as always love your videos always honest and original. Keep up the good work.
Cheers Julian ( Brisbane Australia)
Who else from the US wasn't thinking about "rubbers" until Harry said something?
Harry, i love your videos, very classy hi-quality content. Awesome!
Very Nice Lamborghini Harry. I enjoyed seeing it cleaned. Men like me dream of a life where we have nice things. Thanks for the post🇺🇸
Jesus Christ that's a lot of work. Also I've been dying for a house tour.
Blasphemous. Repent and convert
Amazing! looks like new! love the Countach.
awesome attention to detail, love it 👍🏼
Beautiful video! It made me feel like when I was a kid, drooling over Lambo posters.
This is simply Amazing! it Ultimately Helps preserve the car to keep it in immaculate condition I get it Thanks for sharing the video Harry
Nice work great video glad you have done a detailing video nice guy showing you his skills
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. A lot was edited out but the essentials were included. Obviously some practices went against the grain slightly but I needed to adapt to the conditions given and to accommodate the fact it was for filming.
Beautiful, worth every penny.
I had Richard detail my Audi TT about 9 years ago proper gent and excellent work !
Remember it well.. Many thanks!
detailed my car a month ago. long long job but the end results are worth the work. looks amazing
Great vid Harry, enjoyed the "rubbers"!
awesome car, amazing detail work

Always like before watching 👍
Great video Harry, when i get them magic Euro Millions Numbers i will be doing exactly the same.. Loved looking at all the toys you have mate, keep the vids coming and thanks for sharing..
Great vid Harry, car is looking stunning, must smell nice too with all that GT85 : )
Great video, very enjoyable to watch the process.
Great video, Harry! Very interesting.
As always a wonderful video.
This is definitely one for my son Tim!He needs one of those paint depth thingys for certain, can't have more than a few tens of microns left the way he polishes his Arbarth 500!
Nice bottle of Peroni at the end! Great vid...
One of the best accounts to follow on twitter, was awesome seeing his work behind the scenes.
Many thanks. Appreciate your support and taking the time to follow my work.
Thank you for clarifying about the "rubbers" for us Americans. I was imagining some kind of emergency stash compartment full of condoms in the engine bay. Brilliant videos, as always.
Hola
Excelente video y muy bien explicado.
Le felicito por sus videos.
Saludos!
Aldo / Panamá
woohoo Harrys new video and its Countach, awesome...btw like your new beard ;)
You can mix a bit of Clear silicon in a small tin of petrol and brush the tires or any rubber, they come nice and shiny .
That really is a beautiful car!
Super vidéo comme toujours!
I love how much Harry loves his Countach
You do great videos!
Tour guy is quite fast. Its easy to put a week into detailing a car real good.
Even if its as good as tour car.
Thank you for a great experience
Great informative video Harry! Thanks for the clarification on "Rubbers" HA. I'm an American fan.
No kidding. You can only use 'rubbers' when detailing the wife.
Loved this video!:)
Great work. Love it.
Great attention to detail
your car selection is absolutely brilliant. mind your self, and ride safe 😎
Ah I've been waiting for this!
excellent as always arry !
Harry the legend !!!
use an open hose rather than the pressure washer to rinse when car is sitting on chips. It stops debris lifting from the drive prior to drying.
Martin Allen I think they were oven chips so debris is kept to a minimum 👌🏻
don't know who and why you are, harry. but i really enjoy your videos when i stumble across them. very natural and you seem to have an everyday man's point-of-view.
Haha you were all perplexed about claying your car 😂 But its a pretty normal detailing procedure.
Great video, good to see you're taking very well care of the cars.
Lamborghini's must really be the worst to detail! All those shapes..
It really isn't normal. Only do it if the paint needs it.
Brandon Herrera Its normal to do when the paint needs it. Fine?
Thank you for going into detail (sorry, it is so satisfying! And a Countach for dangs sake!
Love the captain birds eye look 😁😁 oh and the car Harry 👍🏻💨💨
Countach is a timeless 'modern style' classic. To think this car design was thought of and executed in the early 70s. LP400/500 Countach for me was the very best in looks. I detail my classic 911 engine bay with WD40, it works wonders without removing 'factory wax' coating. Awesome car there
This Channel should be already at 100K
thanks for the work got in for the amazing video
I am amazed by the staggering number of amateurs calling out for Richard's "mistakes"
Richard is booked up for months ahead thanks to being known by top collectors as one of the very best detailers out there. Reputation is everything..
Harry's garage I'm about to graduate college as a computer engineer but I have found a huge passion in detailing cars and I'm hoping one starting my own detailing business like Richards where I will detail cars at people's homes. Wish me luck! Ha
I know he's a pro but every leather cleaner I've even seen says do not saturate. Lol.
I finally realized one of my goals, to sit in a Countach & see if 6' 5" fits. I'm happy to say that I did fit! Don't forget to record a video at the concours, Harry. We all want to see your magnificent Countach parked along all the other Lamborghinis.
The Lamborghini looks great, Harry!
This car is so beautiful.
Did Balboni´s signature survive?Harry sure can sell a fridge to an eskimo...his enthusiasm is so so contagious.
A good job. Perfect detailing. Although I will point out that washing and waxing should be done in the shade if possible. The car looks great after the detailing and there is a big difference before and after.
