Jesus! When you watch Harry's videos you forget how wealthy he is! He is so down to earth and casual. He is a likeable rich guy, don't change Harry 😉
Agreed - that boat is serious money. No wonder Evo cover price was so high! (Or is it the farm?)
Agreed. :)
We bumped into them at Villa Deste. Harry is as down to earth as the vids suggest, no problem chatting. She is very pretty! I always stifle any envy at rich car enthusiasts by remembering they are only doing what I would do with the same cash.
Lovely boat and for those crass enough to want to know about value then its probably worth a similar sum to the countach qv
Is he that rich? If so; good for him!
You know you're an overlord when you can view your Countach from your Princess's flybridge!
Goals.
The princess is just a floating hotel room?
This guy is living the life... so inspirational
Ok, this inspires me to service my Pantera and DRIVE it while I still can. I'll be 66 soon. What I heck am I watching you tube for? Thanks Harry! I'm out of here (:
If you ever want to sell that Pantera, please let me know! I’m looking for one
Pantera 😍😍😍
lol being rich and watching youtube videos of someone else driving fancy cars rofl XD
hold onto it.. good investment
Love the way Harry's wife puts her foot on the dash to brace herself when Harry gets on to his antics.
Probably also because the footwell is narrow…
Watching this reminded me that I lost interest in long distance driving when I couldn't drive fast anymore anywhere. I used to love roaring around the UK, then they brought in cameras and stuff. But doing an indicated 130 mph down the M4 in a Healey 3000 in the rain at night, aged 26 was awesome. Squealing tires around country roads and belting down through France to the coast, great fun. I had to stop when in my Alpine 610 turbo I got stopped for speeding. I knew then it was time to slow down, so I took up off road driving. At least I was able to do it all in my 20s and 30s.
Yes I know I was a maniac, but I had been taught to drive fast by an ex Jaguar works driver who had competed in the le Mans.
I do enjoy watching these videos. As a point of interest I moved from the UK to the USA, and you can do a way more there on the same money with cars and boats than in the UK.
so you're one of the dickheads then are you?
@@thecentralscrutinizer1758 Screw tin lid. Do you not know the difference between current and past tense? I said 'used to be' 'not still am' a maniac. Youngsters like yourself have no idea what life was like years ago, we were all maniacs. We all drove the same. You unfortunately live in today's bubble wrap world where everything fun and risky is banned or soon will be. All you are allowed to do is dull your brain with newly legalized drugs. I feel sorry for you.
@@andyrbush I feel sorry for you if you think I'm a young man. You must be in your nineties.
@@thecentralscrutinizer1758 well srew tin lid you act like a child.
HATS OFF to the true petrol head in this vid....That's your wife Harry! I mean not many would participate in such a trip with this car...Noisy, with not the best of the comfort sunspention ! You are one lucky chap !
Nicolas Nikitakis i wish we could see her for a second.
And she's not too bad at filming either.
Imagine if he'd traded her in for a 20-something trophy wife. We'd have vertical iphone footage. Of her. In front of expensive items and places. On Instagram. ;-P
Met her on the Mille Miglia, ~ lovely lady and shares Harry’s passion ~ great camera work too
Let's recognise the fact that she often gets dropped off in the middle of nowhere to get the exterior shots - and there's often nowhere to turn around and retrieve her for quite some time. Fun seeing her chilling shotgun with bare feet on the run up the pass. We appreciate your sacrifices Mrs M!
These are the kind of videos I wish I could have seen back when I was 10 years old.
Did that motorway in 1982 in a 1972 1275 MG Midget - terrifying, as my top speed was about 30 mph slower than the Italian traffic! Loved the way the locals made three lanes, with the car overtaking me being overtaken at the same time, on a tight bend, entering a tunnel. The Midget was subsequently mildly crushed in Genoa when rammed from behind as a bus pulled out ahead without warning, which forced an unplanned drive back over the Colle Gran St Bernardo when we were turned back at the tunnel with only spotlights (the headlights having been lost). 'Highlight' was stopping at the snowline, and hammering bits of front wing away from the tyres. Happy days.
Watching Harry destroy the value of his Countach on video... Priceless! Reminds me of every confident father on my block.
2 videos from Harry in 1 week! It has been a good week!
Matthew Sharpe great week
Yes!!
Matthew Sharpe the older presenters like Harry are the best. They take you along with them for the ride, and you feel welcome and there too. I’m middle aged I know, but the car channels from the young guys are nud their own competition between their channels on who gets to the best cars first, and do nothing except make you feel inadequate for not having such cars. ... i did say that I am middle age, so I know that is part of it....well.... this video is great though. Second or third video of the Countach from Harry now? It still feels fresh The it’s the first time for all of us having a super cool road trip with a Countach like it’s 1984, :-)
ajwasp 100% agree with you
He brings the emotion that is mirrored by "petrolicious" and very few others.
What a life...
stop dreaming, his a lord of the higher order
Ahh, the St.Bernard Pass. I did that one by bicycle, analogue so to speak. I crossed it the other way round: from Switzerland to Italy. it was a hard day's work, but a great experience. Wouldn't mind doing the same trip with a Lamborghini now.
In summer 1970 we drove from Kent (UK) to San Remo Italy. Best bit of the drive was this same route. Unfortunately our car, a Vauxhall viva (1969) started to overheat badly on the drive down from St Bernard pass to Aosta. We turned off the engine and coasted for some 15 miles before reaching a garage. We stayed overnight in a motel in Aosta valley, what a beautiful place to breakdown. After breakfast outside the motel our car was waiting fully repaired, good old AA 5 star insurance. My other memories of this trip were being overtaken in Switzerland by a huge racing Porsche in gulf paintwork and of the Italians drooling over an XJ6 Jag which was new to the market then. Great driving holiday! I'm sure Harry got some really envious looks from Italian drivers, they are mad about red Italian super cars. I'm surprised the traffic police didn't stop Harry to check he hadn't stolen it. I suppose they are all subscribers to this channel!
Lol that indicator repair...straight out of the handbook!
So cool! Jet set Harry, yet he is 100% petrol head in the very best sense. Thrashing around Europe in a Countach - BRILLIANT!
What is not to like about these videos Harry Posts? He is a successful man, through hard word I guess and maybe the right opportunities, and the courage to take chances. But here's the best bit, he shares his passion of his cars with those of us who maybe didn't have the same chances and opportunities, so we can savour every V12 at full chat, every gear change and hear his honest opinions about these fabulous iconic cars without any " I'm richer than you" persona. Thank you Harry.
This is the just the coolest car ever made! Period! Never forget the poster I saw when I was a kid and the seeing it in The Cannonball Run. What a machine! It made a great impression on me and still does. Absolute winner!
There is zero fat on Harry's videos. Thank you Harry.
Your wife is a trooper! Poor gal is out on the shoulder filming fly bys and everything.
Wow Harry. I loved this trip. I did the same route in 1969 and remember the motorway, all bridges and tunnels and the Grand St Bernard ( did the dog kennels tour). You may have enjoyed the noise of your Lambo but I remember being enthralled in Martigny listening to something very sporty and noisy coming all the way down the pass into the town, turned out to be a mustard coloured Alfa 1750 coupe. Many happy memories.
I feel like I just had a road trip holiday Harry. Thanks! Nice to see these cars being used the way they were meant to be used…
Harry this is a tv series in the making, it needs pitching to the tv networks , when top gear is off air, perfect Sunday night viewing .
+Super veloce
Nooo, please, I don't own a TV....
Or a Netflix series?
Sounds good :) Fuck top gear, lets be having Harrys gear :)
It's new HG video day again and this one is all about living with the Porsche Taycan 4S. I also thought this would be a good opportunity to see if the UK's fast charger network had improved since I last tried charging an BEV away from home some twelve months ago in the Jaguar i-Pace (which didn't go well..).
Vid will go live at my usual time of 5:30pm today. Thanks for the continued support and for watching in such great numbers recently, much appreciated! Harry
Fantastic to see the Countach being used properly and I roads I have ridden myself
Italian roads are cool. But Harry, if you want to take it level sexy, then Croatia my friend. With highways better than German autobahn, super beautiful coastline it's just heads and shoulders above. Late spring = ideal!
Best part is when he duct tapes up the indicator!!! BRILLIANT
He's brilliant .. he takes the antique out of the package and runs the engine
Gotta love a guy who drives an exotic as if it were a run of the mill honda. Bravo!
Thank you... you obviously don't need to ruin your journey to give us all an amazing veiw of the land and if course your wonderful cars. But you do...and I for one am grateful
harry is a legend shows these new upstarts how its done ..
In a weird sort of way a red Countach with some dirt and grime on it and brake dust on the wheels looks even better than a spotless shiny one. It looks meaner and angrier
Yes, in it's element.
Agree - any supercar looks great when it’s well travelled as you just fantasise about trips like this...
BarryEssex -
its, no apostrophe - it's is short for it is :)
...not to mention the mass of electrical tape on the turn signal light adds to the anger...
Erik Hertzer - Looks as though it’s been battling Ferraris on the road (or something) ✌🏻😹
The Italian Job! Another Lamborghini (the famous orange Miura) driving through the St Bernard Pass!!
[7:05] 1987 Lamborghini Countach side marker light, $327.00. $1.27 roll of electrical tape to keep the light from falling off... Priceless! And congratulations on your winnings at the Concours.
Totally agree on that motorway, Harry - I even enjoyed it in 1985 in a 1275 MG Midget - but those turns can prove unexpected at any speed... ;-)
Just realised part 1 was somehow overread part 1 in my sub box.
An even better surprise then!
i did basically that whole trip from san remo in italy through the mont blanc tunnel and into switzerland for the evening, some of the best roads in europe can be found in italy and switzerland for sure !!
I remember driving this route as a young man in a recently acquired Renault 5 turbo, truly spectacular, with a little bit of terror thrown in from the high speeds and local driving (before traffic cameras).
He is the chosen, driving for us all ...
I love that Harry drives these classics so far instead of keeping them tucked away
My god the contach is so beautiful one of my favorites super cars of all times
Boat vid Harry, pleeeeeeease!
Need to get Farah down there for a One Wake :P
I came here just to post this. @Harry's Garage please do a video of your yacht!
Farah and Harry, that would be an amazing collaboration
Plus, Matt could be like "Mr. Metcalfe, huge fan of yours. Seen all your road trips, but have to ask if you're comfy during those. Cause if not, I've got this underwear with a pouch and some ball powder that would make each trip a-mazinggg..."
yes please Mr Harry. :-)
One of the best auto youtube channels on the planet, Harry is living how many would want to live. Caning a Lambo from his boat and the wife is there as well.
10th time I’ve watched this vid .... it gets better & better each viewing👍
A guide to travelling great roads to see stunning places in sexy cars wearing cool shades.
Love the way you roll Harry!
All this and The Best of The Carpenters on cassette! What more could you ask for?!
I love the tape on the indicator!!!! That is real world...not fancy mega-rich world. You are my hero Harrry!!!
I prefer motorbikes, but this Lamborghini Cuntach is one of the coolest cars ever !
+Harry's garage,
Wonderful video and the scenery?
I'm in Norwich and lucky enough to see a chap driving every day a REAL GT40!!!!! It's used every day and yes he says it's real. These cars are to be used, driven, loved and appreciated for what they are
Thank you so much for up loading such a wonderful tribute to Countach.
Tunnel = downshift
It's the only way ;-)
That sound in the tunnel...... OMG!!
Back in 1972 I drove substantially the same route, in a somewhat different car - a 1962 Morris Minor, to be exact!
Epic! Thank you for taking the time to film this, love it!
That's the dream! Maintain a classic to win any concours d'elegance, and drive it across Europe as fast as possible! That's amazing and hopefully one day I will have a car like that!
A real gentleman of leisure...
Harry is living The Life...
Love the indicator repair....😂😎😂
I could have watched hours if this Harry. Thank god there's another video to go! Part 3 here I come...

Brilliant vid Harry, love your boat & really pleased to see see youre NOT wearing the helly hanson uniform! well done & major respect.
The bush-mechanic bit was a lot of fun... Nice to see that even the Countach loves to fall apart here and there, just like most Italian cars. Thanks for the videos Harry, keep it coming!

Superb!! Thanks for taking me along on your trips!! Keep 'em coming, I'll get over there from Texas one of these days) ) and smile as I recall watching you on these trips.
Quote of the year: “I’m just going to try and tape [the indicator] down. I’ll look a bit silly if I haven’t got that and I’m entered in the Concorso in the ‘shiny Countach competition’ and there’s a big gaping hole.”
Harry, your videos are wonderful - thanks for sharing these experiences with us!
Every video is like a feast! God bless you Harry for sharing your experiences with us!!!
Class review as always Harry. Keep up the great work....you're in a class of your own
