  • No dental insurance? No problem! Let's talk about HOW to get quality dental work at a discounted price!
    If you don’t have dental insurance or are thinking about dropping your coverage because it hardly pays for anything, dental discount plans can save you a boat load of money. Especially if you’re planning on a smile makeover or need a lot of dental treatment. The easy-to-understand discounts take the guesswork out of insurance claims, and you never run out of benefits. Plus, you usually get 100% coverage on your checkups, similar to a traditional insurance policy. Many dental offices are converting to private dental savings plan programs because it’s a win-win for both them and their patients. Good to know! I wish I knew this information when I didn’t have insurance. I skipped the dentist for a year during that time, and I let a cavity eat away at a tooth. I learned the hard way that you will end up paying a heck of a lot more if you put off treatment. I had a root canal and a crown. Thousands of dollars later all out of my own pocket, and it would’ve been a lot less had I just gotten the simple filling procedure that my dentist recommended. Never again! That was 15 years ago, and I haven’t missed an appointment since. My teeth look and feel amazing. 😁 Don’t skip your dental appointments, people!!

      Be glad you didn't have to have a dental implant. You'd REALLY be crying about how expensive it is. You should ask your dentist. You'll never skip a year again...pandemic be damned...you'll find a way, even if it kills you once you see how expensive dental implants are (compared to a root canal and crown).

      Yes, it helps when they take the money from you in your taxes so you don't see it...PLUS your healthcare is not for profit, so while we pay for all the research and development of pharmaceuticals in the US, your government negotiates the prices down below cost so we have to pay YOUR share.

    • @TommyShlong
      @TommyShlong Před 3 měsíci

      @@le_th_ yeah, that's not how it works.
      The US federal govt passed a law forbidding Medicare and Medicaid from negotiating drug prices. Every other country negotiates drug prices. Even though negotiating wholesale purchase prices is a common and accepted practice in every other part of the US economy.
      The number one reason for personal bankruptcy in the US is medical bills. No one in Europe goes bankrupt due to medical/dental bills.
      There are many European for profit pharmaceutical companies that develop lifesaving drugs - Bayer, AstaZeneca, Roche to name a few. And Americans spend billions on drugs from those companies.
      Some of the best research hospitals are in Europe (Karolinska Institute, Gemelli University Hospital, Berlin University Medical Ctr to name a few) and they develop life saving procedures.
      Having a non-profit health care system does not mean bad healthcare. Some of the best hospitals in the US are non-profit - Mayo Clinic, Sloan Kettering, Cleveland Clinic.

Fortunately, I was able to get a few root canals and implants so now, I have 2 more implants to go and will have a full mouth of teeth! 😃 8 implants and 5 root canals. Basically 13 new teeth! That's half my mouth. These better stay for the next 50 years. I have over $30,000 worth of work

    Seems like a lot of these Dental Insurance plans are worse than just saving into a Health Savings Plan (great tax benefits too) combined with a Dental Savings Plan - keeping full control of your money pooled in. It's sickening one can pay for dental insurance for years and they still barely cover the major work per year - no accumulated value like an HSA. The tax benefits of Dental Insurance are generally nothing unless you get a TON of work.

Life was meaningless and unbearable enough before this but now I’m ready to attempt sui again because of this pain in my face, ear, and neck…It’s criminal how dental emergencies are just disregarded here for people who can’t pay.

Apparently teeth aren't a part of the body so, health insurance ignores them. After people pay an arm and a leg for health insurance, dental may get neglected. Maybe that's their dirty plan? Destroy many Americans teeth which can cause systemic issues like chronic inflammation.

      And then it exposes you to a greatly increased risk of developing further problems, because now you have a pocket where your tooth used to be, and bacteria is building up there! Make sure you have a proper diet. Sometimes it's not cleaning your teeth that is the problem it's sugar. Even if you brush your teeth if you have too much sugar in your system it's going to cause problems. A lot of foods in the grocery stores have refined or cane sugar.
