As someone who suffered at the hands of a, frankly, devious and incompetent dentist, can you add "bad dentists" to the list of cavity causes. My last dentist not only drilled into the wrong tooth, he snapped at me when I made him aware of his mistake, drilled and filled the correct tooth but left the cavity he'd made in the wrong tooth unfilled and then, when I had to go back to get him to fill it, he even botched that up, only partially filling it. So yes, please add bad dentists to that list!

Hahaha, as a pharmacist, I experienced that too ! You know, when patients come to your pharmacy, and ask for your colleagues because "I'm not sure you can answer my question" , when you've been a certified pharmacist for 10 years lol!

Mine is still achy a month later. It was a tooth with 6 roots. One has itty bitty tiny bottom part in xray shoring root. I don’t wish to have further drilling. How should I approach having it removed with my dentist? I have had 1 other years past and constant fatigue and sleep issues ever since. I want that one out, too. Both are last tooth, next to where molars once were. I’m thinking the simple cement style, that you redo on occasion. Nothing invasive, not an implant or bridge. Maybe just leave it as well.

I had never had any tooth problems even up to 50 years old, but decided if I begin going to a dentist then he would be able to catch a cavity long before it became a problem,...He began having me get my teeth cleaned TWICE a year and they used abrasives every time, so much so when he began having me get cleaned FOUR times a year and STILL with an abrasive gun, it became so bad I would stop at the pharmacy and coat my teeth with orajel because it became too painful and they KNEW it was too because I would jump and wriggle as she did this,.. it would hurt for a long time after,.. I couldn't even drink cold liquids, where before I could eat and chomp ice,.. consequently (and this is what I honestly think happened) I had one tooth with a high arch that was always that way but he decided I needed to get a procedure, but not to worry, the insurance would pay for it,.. I told him again, "Doc, I told you,.. I don't have ins,. I've been paying cash these years,.. he became quiet,.and immediately stopped and dropped it,.. didn't say "well this is something you should do and I'd advise you to," but not a word,.. For the next visits He became cold and distant then put me up for a deep cleaning which I DID NOT need, but with this and all the cleaning, the enamel was worn through in key places where instead of seeing a dentist to keep from LOSING teeth I began to have problems,.. where he sent me to his orthodontist friend to do surgery pull it, charged me $80.00 then the orthodontist charge me $250.00 to tell me the same thing, to pull it,.. no offer to fix and save it,.. it cost me a thousand dollars to get it pulled, then shortly thereafter I began losing other teeth, and I fully blame him and his crooked practice for it,.. If I could prove it I would carry him to court and sue him to the end, but I know I can't prove it and he knows it so Im stuck,

A dentist I went to took my blood pressure, it read extremely high so they said I'd have to go to my physician to get a release, which I did. Returned it and they still won't work on me. However I switched to a new Dr. and they took my pressure CORRECTLY and it was not high. Beware many dentists and doctors do not correctly do this and it could be life or death. If they put you on meds you don't need it could kill you and if it reads low (and isn't), that could also kill you. They should NOT take it laying in the chair. It should be done in a sitting position, feet on floor with back support (should have a few minutes sitting there beforehand). Arm should be at least level with your heart or slightly higher. Should not be done over sleeves and the cuff should not be uncomfortably tight or too loose. So many doctors do not do this right it's appalling.

Hardest thing ever is convincing Doctors in 2024 that this is the issue they will blame it on allergies and post nasal drip prescribe you medication after medication that never works or makes it worse if the year was 1994 they would take out your tonsils just for the fun it 🤣
