Is THIS the Universal Mounting System we have been looking for? Scanstrut Rokk Mini Mounts Unboxing

We recently did a quick recommendation on a scanstrut phone mount/charger Scanstrut saw it and liked it and sent us some of their other products to test out. Most of these are from the Rokk Mini series of universal mount with on being form their Midi series. We will be testing these products out over the next few weeks to let you know how we like them.

Thanks for the introduction to a new mounting system, guess it will have to be very competitive on price to knock off RAM Mount system. The quick disconnect system looked interesting ...... although personally I like to 'hear' a positive engagement of the clamp otherwise my OCD will have me triple checking and doubting the attachment (trust issues). My impressions from what you showed us, I was not a fan of white bits (makes it easy to see yes) ..... a no on style and the distraction factor especially near visual displays. Would have liked a bit more info on the coating of the friction surfaces, and compatibility with other mounting systems.
Couple of other points ...... you might consider a bit kit for your Leatherman Charge? Multitool, it will let you use the correct Allen key bit in it, instead of winging it with the pliers.
I have fallen for the bulk mount loadout in the past.....to avoid purchasing excessive gear, start with mounting solution kits, determine what they come with and then decide if you actually need to buy the third suction mount?

Awesome comment thank you so much for the great points. Quick response to one point. You actually do hear an audible click when you clip in the body firmly. I didn’t capture it on camera well I think because I was holding the base in my hand and absorbing some of that power but I have definitely been hearing and feeling the click as we have been testing them around the boat
