    FYI, you need to use the extensions, to reach the bottom of the oil pan, ill try it works like a charm. When I was watching your video I was thinking please don’t force the hose you’re going to break it.

    I loved this video, it's so wrong, lol.

  • @StevenYoungcaptual
    @StevenYoungcaptual Před 5 lety +17

    That's incorrect- You should put the Smaller extension on to go all the way down the dip stick tube into your oil pan.

  • @keoni37
    @keoni37 Před rokem

    That is an extension and needs to be used to reach the bottom of the oil pan. It is a smaller diameter so that it can reach all the way to the bottom of the pan. I have the same extractor but without the compressor function. Had all the oil out of our diesel Mercedes in just a couple minutes with just about a half dozen strokes of the pump. Edit....Did I see toward the end of the video that you used the extension? If so, forget what I said earlier...good job. Works great and my Mercedes has the filter on top so easy job to change both.

    The rod is only to clean the tubes out when debris gets stuck in them. As you can feel the tubes are rigid enough!😁😂🤣😃

    oil filter? you need change oil filter as well..

  • @mkm692
    @mkm692 Před 3 lety +2

    You still have to get under the car and change the oil filter unless you have a car that has a oil filter on top then it makes sense. If you’re looking to stay clean that’s not gonna happen when you change out the oil filter under the car you’re going to get dirty, this sucking the oil out is kind of pointless.

    • @JD-bd5rd
      @JD-bd5rd Před 8 měsíci

      Very true. In my case though, I still have to get under the car to change the filter, but I no longer have to unscrew the skid plate, unscrew drain plug (getting oil all over my hand), then screw the skid plate black on… so I’m gonna try one of these

  • @ltnerb
    @ltnerb Před 3 lety +1

    Okay umm you don’t have a top mount oil filter. Did you not think to change it? Adding new oil and not changing the filter could potentially cause you to have issues down the road.

    I wish EWK can come up with radiator or transmission fluid exchanger especially on coolant that you don’t have to do burp process to the radiator.

    • @lancebangwell
      @lancebangwell Před 5 lety +1

      There is one, not made by EWK, but it's called an Airlift, you can vacuum test for leaks and also vacuum fill your coolant.

    Purchased the same extractor and I don't think the measurement is correct. Prior to using it I got a 1 quart measuring cup and poured water into so I could mark off the the quarts. However each quart I pored into it was exactly at the 1 liter mark

    Does anyone know if this thing is stronger than the Mityvac?
    I have the 8qt Mityvac pump which is similar but it doesent have the air hose connection.
    I’m thinking this one is stronger because my Mityvac imploded on me during the second use draining warm oil.
    The vacuum pressure actually made the entire holding tank collapse on itself.
    I’m thinking if this one in the video can take constant air pressure from a compressor then it should be able to hold up better than my Mityvac.
    The 15L model of this product looks even beefier.
    Sad because the Mityvac has a lot of reviews but it’s not that great for professional use .

      I was wondering why he didn't replace the filter also. Looks like a Nissan Altima if so the filter is behind the dust shield of front tire on the passenger side. Maybe he forgot, didn't know or just didn't care.
