    So far I've used this cooker twice.
    Once I made Bacon, Eggs and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches! It took noticeably longer to cook the Bacon Vs. on the outdoor model. It still tasted good but not as good. The grilled cheese sammies were delicious and I noticed no difference to speak of but the Eggs were super hard to flip because of the slippery surface.
    I also made Sliders from hand made Burger Patties. They tasted awesome and were easy to do but were not as good as when I do them outside, yet they definitely tasted better than using a frying pan, so there's that.
    The cooker is easy to clean and the top APPEARS to be something that will last assuming it's cleaned properly and used properly WITHOUT METAL UTELCILS.
    There are noticeable hot spots right in the very center area of the cooker top. It's to a point that you really need to move things around to equal out cook time and searing. It's not hard to do but I wish it wasn't that much of a difference. In the coming weeks, I'll do some experiments to see if I can increase the searing capability. So far, I'm not really impressed.
    That's all for now, check back here often!

    I have had the 17" version for about 8 months and love mine. I am in Wisconsin and I understand the cold, but I still use and store mine at my outdoor kitchen. One of my favorite things to create on it is Fried Rice. You can get so creative and add whatever you have for leftovers in the fridge and mix it all together and have deliciuos food. I use frozen Cauliflower Rice (walmart brand for 1.97) instead of cooking up abunch of rice.

    We've used this griddler for a variety of items including steak, fish, vegetables czcams.com/users/postUgkxMcXT6_MuT0hB3ejyGQQHaeof9bwoWPUf and mushrooms and it's been great! Gets that great smokey flavor when using high heat or sear. The grill works amazingly simple and very low smoke for what it is. Heat gets up fairly quick, especially on closed position. The griddler side is fairly simple, better for eggs and pancakes rather than any cooking. Use the flat plates with the grill side if needed.Cleanup is easy and having heat on both sides is great for cooking a large amount or panini press.This definitely gets hot though so be careful with the sides.

    I bought this product during the middle of a long roadtrip in my camper, with the idea of using it to make my family things like pancakes, smashburgers, etc. I purchased this in Westminster CO at an ACE Hardware, and am now about 200 miles away trying to use it for the first time. It won't even hardly cook pancakes on it, and simply putting the batter on the flattop instantly drops the temperature. When it tries to raise the temperature back up, the flat top shuts off and then turns itself back on. Next I tried some thin turkey bacon. After 30 minutes of this, and the grill shutting down and restarting 6 times, I eventually threw the bacon out.
    Given that I bought this on a road trip, I called Blackstone to try and remedy. After waiting on the phone for nearly 30 minutes to talk to someone, I was told they couldn't do anything and my only option was to turn around and drive 200 miles back to return it. This is an appalling customer experience, and after reading reviews on various places, it seems like this product is just fundamentally flawed and multiple people having this issue. I will never buy a Blackstone product again. Crap products and a crap company.

    If someone releases a steel griddle for the e Series, it would be great! I think the titanium bleeds off heat too fast. Pancakes don't do nearly as well as on the gas series. Steel is able to live longer than the fangled "non-stick" which eventually fails. Steel lasts darn near forever!

      Have the Black Stone propane 4 burner early model were the grease drain is out front. Going to add metal to correct that. Regulator went bad went to propane dealer got a adjustable regulator like a turkey deep fryer to get more heat. Was told 2 to 2 1/2 on numbers regulator max. Really brought it to life. Had a rally for union hall. 250 hot dogs and 200 hamburger in about 1hr. Dogs about 30 at a time just rolled back and forth with a spatula. Burgers got a nice crust then flipped just unreal how a little more heat did the job. Tilted griddle with wood under the wheels to aid on grease removal. That setting on regulator was with all burners wide open big difference you can turn down the individual burners. You don't want or need the burners roaring like jet probably not end up good you can overheat burners use common sense ( hard thing to find nowadays) understand manufacturing company protecting themselves but it solved underperformance of the regulator which was probably going bad.

    Love your closing "I'll see you on the next episode".
    So... First - I totally love Blackstone! - The Non-stick care warning should actually apply to any non-stick surface - NO METAL.
    Living up here in "cold" Canada, I have tried and tested a number of indoor grilling options - who doesn't "urn for a burger" in Feb?
    Needless to say, grilling anything indoors with fat in it, or added to it, is going to cause enough "smoke" to set off your interior home smoke sensors.
    Solutions include placing the grill on top of your stove and cranking the hood fan to MAX - also, upgrading the hood fan to a more powerful unit will help (400+ CFM).
    Opening a window will also help, but at -20 this will also cause your furnace to kick in. :) - Bah!

    • @EverydayBBQ
      @EverydayBBQ  Před 2 lety +1

      It honestly seems to produce more of a steam than smoke. Of course, it will take a while to really determine if there are issues caused from using it in an area without an exhaust fan. Overall I think it’s good for what it is but I see many people wish it was better. I’ll reserve final judgement until I’ve got a few more cooks under my belt.

    Heating elements are strong enough. Takes forever to hit 500 (20 minutes) and when you add stuff to the griddle it drastically drops temperatures and takes forever to get back up. I am not the only person that says this, look at all the reviews. Blackstone needs to recall all of these until they get stronger elements.

    Is the cook surface made from safe non toxic materials?

      I read the information in the video but you’ll have to do your own research on the coating.

      Sorry but I really didn’t like it good enough to film with it. I didn’t want to do it just for views. I don’t like the heating element especially. My frying pans sear better.

      @@EverydayBBQ Thanks for letting me know. Appreciate the honesty. Will look at other options then.

    I think the weak spot is going to be the cooking surface, I don't think it will hold up well. Why they couldn't make it out of steel or cast is beyond me other than woman folks may not want to clean that & they figure this will sell better!

    • @EverydayBBQ

      Lol so far it’s not bad. I can’t speak for longevity but I can say it cleans easy and gives good flavor, better than a frying pan but not as good as the cold rolled steel on the outside version.

    Why not just use a pan?

    Junk. Just returned mine. Buy a $30 electric griddle. It's better. The design is nice but as soon as you place food on it you lose your temp and it never regains.

    • @EverydayBBQ
      @EverydayBBQ  Před 2 lety +1

      After using it for a bit, I’m not super impressed. It works fine, but I don’t think it’s worth anywhere near what they charge for it. It’s just a big non-stick frying pan that doesn’t get hot enough.

    Garbage..I have the 22" version.. After using the griddle for 3 heavy cooks (about 10 steaks each cookout).. The griddle shuts down by itself every 5 minutes after about 5 to 10 minutes of cook time....These are total garbage.. I can do better with a cheap countertop electric skillet..

    This grill has very poor engineering, as soon as you put food on this thing it drops temperature and never recovers....

      It’s not a bad option, but it doesn’t get anywhere near as hot as the outdoor version. It also has many hot and cold spots. The heating element design was not well done.
