For me the tips above help, plus gently pulling on my eyebrow/eyelid just to get all the extra skin out of the way. Haha, don't know if that makes sense, but I have a lot of heavy lid that gets in the way and that gets stuck in the curler xD But maybe that's just me and my eyes lol
@Isabel Guzman, just place it in the roots and blink at least 3 times to make sure that you only feel you lashes on the curler, and then just curl, and make sure not to pull! Also, I really don’t recommend using the curler after applying mascara because you can pull them off! 🥰

I know you are gonna think I am taking the piss bbut seriously, for years I have done exactly what you said some people do and just squeezed at base of lashes really hard for 60 seconds. I did not know about the pumping or the root, middle tip thing and as soon as I had put my mascara on they were already straight again. I have literally just done what you said and my eyelashes are still curly even without mascara. All the times I told my friends I hate my straight lashes and none of them knew to tell me this before!! You have made my year. Thanks so much!!
My eyelashes are really long on the outter corner of my eye and really short on the inner corner, sometimes they get so heavy that they stick up at the short part but hang down at the long part

Omg. Waterproof mascara is the key!just like u I never got the Waterproof until one day when I have bought one by mistake and ever since then I have curly lashes.so glad u have mentioned that.

I always start at the roots and work my way up but once I curl the mid/top parts of my eyelashes it already flattens and looses its lift at the roots so I have to go back again but it just all messes up and I can’t do it like you have yours :(((
I have very full thick and long lashes so if i do the root the middle and the top it just looks like krimpy crab legs and i cant seem to fit bot the inner and outer corner of my lashes in the eyelash curler so the ends are still straight. Plz someone help

Try placing the top part against your eyelid before clamping down.
change eyelash curler, the one you have is probably not suited for ur eye shape

How do you curl the roots without hurting your eyes?
Yep it's dangerous. I quit the curler after I succeeded with Cherish Lash growth serum. My lashes became so long they're even a bit curly now.
I just go slow until I feel I have grabbed the base without any skin on it. After that just try to have stability so you can pump the eyelash curler.

Get falsies that matches your lash type ✌ you know sometimes I try to clump them cause I think it looks cute .

Using hot water of a lighter to heat up the curler is also really helpful (just make sure it isn’t too hot)

I just use vaseline and "curl" my lashes with one finger and "comb" my lash with the petroleum jelly so that it can stay for a while lol

heat up ur eyelash curler w a hairdryer (let it cool down a bit so u don't burn ur eyes/ lashes off) it will stay longer xox
