Thanks Mike, The only thing I would add would be, after the hoe is off but before you disconnect the high pressure and return hose, lower it to the ground and bleed all the cylinders down in both directions with the engine off.

I love your videos. I just bought an old Case 580C for $7000 and I'm fixing it up so I can use it to create my farm. Your videos show what is possible with skill and understanding and tenacity. Thank you for making these videos, you have taught me a lot.

Thank you for the great video very helpful for Case 580c owners, I never imagined it would be this easy to remove the backhoe in this machine., Cheers.

When we took our backhoe off we hooked up a massive block of concrete and put water in the tyres.Regards Billy from South Africa

I have a question, I've got a 580 bck with the extendahoe I bought it and after getting it home I've come to find out the transmission is shot, the rear end is missing teeth and the engine is blown. My question is how hard do you think it would be for me to remove the hoe like you did in the video and maybe build it into a tow behind unit using a gas engine and the hydraulic pump? I figure I'd have to leave the tongue hooked up to my 1 ton due to excess weight in the rear. I'm just wondering cause I'd like to be able to do something with it lol

I have a 65 530ck backhoe/loader, and I converted the model 32 backhoe framework, to the 580ck style. Much better design.

Thanks now I know what do Mine doesn't have any traction either unless I use chains

I've considered adding a counterweight but that backhoe weighs 3,000 lb so it'd be a big counterweight to get the same traction

It's nice not having that backhoe to watch out for and tight places

The original 580 Construciton King (CK) listed an optional 1400# weight that mounts in place of the hoe to keep the back end down when just using the loader.

What am i missing here? Why was it removed and then reinstalled? I see you said it was nice to get into tihter places while removed but was something broken?

@@mikekisch5563 i wondered if the new shop floor was the reason but wasnt sure. Just seemed like a little too much work for that but sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do!

Can you hook up a brush hog ext to the rear? Does it have a PTO?
