- In this video, I show you how to Overclock your PS4 or PS5 controller on PC using hidusbf!
This is great to use for anyone using a PS4/PS5 controller, and its great to use for anyone playing competitive games such as Call of Duty MW2 or Halo Infinite!

I attempted this once and messed up but got my controller back to wokring on pc. I tried doing it again but this time it wont install service anymore. any reason why?

do you know if this overclock still applies when youre ps5 controller is connected via bluetooth?
and does this software have to be open or is the overclock "burned" into the controller itself?
potentially im not too sure, you might be able to find some software to test the actual input delay, all over clocking does is change the 'polling rate' aka how many times the controller and pc talk to eachother, I would personally always used wired just to have the most stable and fastest connection. And the overclock is only for the setting on that pc, it doesnt change anything within the controller
im getting a warning pop up when i try to turn on "File on Device" is there a way to bypass this or am i just SOL
This method is only possible via a USB cable or does it work with bluetooth ?

apologies for the question, but I can only use max 1000 rate setting for my standard PS5 controller. Tried using different cables, any suggestions. Thanks.
I’m not sure mate it should have an 8K rate option, but 1k rate is still only 1ms input delay

Any way to stop the usb port from getting the red bar after each use? I have to recover the usb slot then it will start working again
you have to disable safe boot in your bios to make it work
I had to go to core isolation and turn off memory integrity.
I use a strikepack for the paddles on my ps4 i dont use the mods or anytbing cause tbh they are useless to me but, can i do this with the strikepack on ? Or can i do it for the controller without the strikepack ? And when i use scptoolkit with the strikepack will the overclock still work ?

everything worked fine but im now noticing my mic on my headset doesnt work? i can hear everything but my voice audio isnt picked up at all any suggestions?
make sure you disable the Ps5 audio on pc as for some reason it defaults to the ps5 speakers and microphone
do you have to have the software open when playing or can you close down the window?
you can close it afterwards!
What does it mean when it’s red and does not of the 1 ?

@iSloshy is this safe to do without ban. Also does the xbox scuf controller overclock to 1ms? Or only ps4 controllers can overclock to 1? I heard xbox controllers are locked at a certain rate
Yeah it’s fine to do bro all the CDL players do it, and yeah Xbox controllers are hardware locked at their current input delay unfortunately

I've seen various streamers say that putting 8000 causes drops of fps sometimes and they recommend 1000 with binterval 1 but if I put 1000 my binterval becomes 4 while with 8000 it's 1, why doesn't it happen to them? How can i use 1000 and have 1 of binterval?
I've tried both 8k and 1k and i've not noticed any differences

Thank you, brother, but I have a problem with Fortnite after doing this method. The problem is that my frame rate dropped a lot, and the average frame rate I got after this method is 120. Do you have a solution?
8k doesnt actually do anything but duplicate inputs, put it to 1000hz instead.
Would this work for console i have the victrix pro bfg did the input test and its sitting around 7.65 to 30ms max of input delay

yeah only works on your pc/laptop you are gaming on, doesn't work on console

so i did this (have done it before) but when i follow the instructions and everything is good i notice a difference...but the downside is that i get alot of micro lag so much that its not playable. When i undo the process there is no lag. Any thoughts? Thanx for the video.

@@isloshy it did not help. When i use the overclock program i get a massive fps drop in fortnite and i get lag. When i turn it of i get 100% fps and no lag....wierd...
@xxxreaperxoxo675 instead of 8000 change the rate to 1000 and see if that helps. You should still be at 1ms even at 1000 and you won't be overwhelming your device

nice man, using a ps5 edge controller follwed the steps and now it randomly disconnects and doesnt work
Not sure bro, worked for me with a normal PS5 controller, maybe try uninstalling the device and trying again
mine is red now on the software and no longer turns on
reverted it to 1000 and now works, but 8000 does not let my controller turn on
@@21Rade just turn it off. This app is dodgy and runs in the background automatically even when it's not connected to anything
Do we leave the application open when running a game I noticed delay when closing out of it

after i do filter on and install service it gives me a warning that the device will probably stop working. Anyone know why?

my binterval didnt change to 1 it stayed 5 or 6 or wtv it is why is that. I was able to change it to 1000 for my ps4 controller but the binterval number didnt change
maybe check your secure boot is enabled
After overclock does it stay like that forever or do I have too keep that application open and redo process everytime I run a game?
I stays like that until you Uninstall hidusb...no need to always open hidusb, it stays like that

Is that an official PS4 controller? Not heard of a Play X controller, if it’s a 3rd party controller it might not work
its not official ps4 controller its a ps4 controller designed to look like ps5 controller the problem is it has 10 ms delay not like the normal ps4 ones which is 3ms@@isloshy

everytime i do it by 3 different video when im at the filter spot i get a red box .
the github file is 2 years old and some windows security update is blocking it at the last step

Yeah you should be able to go into device manager click uninstall and then plug it back in
can I delete the files downloaded once the service is setup?
I think so but I would keep them just incase, the files aren’t too bulky
Hi when i clock the ps5 controller i get stutters in my game i think these are FPS drops do you know how i can fix this? The higher i go on HZ the more stutters i get.
Not sure bro unfortunaely, if you're using 8k hz overclock try 1k?
if u were using a ps4 controller undo the overclock on the ps4 and the stutters should be gone restart pc after u do it

PS5 needs a USB C cable and a PS4 needs a USB type A

Bro i cant get mine to work
After selecting Filter On Device it gives a warning that the device will probably no longer work. If select yes to move forward it show up as correct, but when you unplug and replug the PS4 controller the controller no longer turns on. You have to remove the device in the settings, but it is no longer overclocked...... if you go through all the steps again it gives the same warning and the controller won't connect again.

try going into your windows settings and removing the device, replug it in and it should show up
I got a warning when I went to filter device and it says device won't work after restart. I did not continue

Not sure on that one mate, make sure it’s still wired, if not uninstall the device on ur windows and try again
@isloshy mines come out in red, when i hit the 8000 and put apply i get a warning with a code 577 and doesnt let me get it in green
might need to check you have secure boot enabled in your BIOS

That’s weird, overclocking it shouldn’t affect your fps, unless your pc is only just running the game at minimum fps

It does but you have to play the game on laptop, doesn’t work if you do it on pc and then try it on console

I use a PS5 dualsense edge and it works for me bro, I did first setup my dualsesne edge on my ps5 though

Means it hasn’t worked, best thing to do is uninstall the device, and then retry

Don't select 8000, only select 1000. 1K is the FASTEST. 8k will only duplicate the commands 8 times at 1K, causing the system to work harder. Do a little research before telling people to do something silly.
am i the only one who feels no difference
it will only be like a 5ms difference or so, most likely not enough for the human eye to notice properly but it will make a difference in certain FPS games, getting your first bullets off slighty quicker etc and faster overall inputs
maybe wrong usb port i noticed after testing every usb port there was only 2 on my pc which felt smooth

I disable Secure boot and it’s still red. I’ve tried everything from multiple videos. I keep getting the 193 error code

hey have you found a solution to this? i exactly have the same problem, and i notice the huge fps drop difference tbh, i didn't at first like a year ago but somehow lately i been feeling the fps drops so much and i tried it with 1000, and i instantly get a 100 more fps.
