      Mariah Carey is not an untrained singer. Her mother was a classically trained opera singer who taught her how to sing. Barbra learnt how to sing from her father who was a Cantor. Faouzia probably learnt from tajweed. We use the same technique when reciting the Quran that singers use when singing (diaphragmatic breathing). Its easy to transfer over if you already have the muscle memory for it.
      Also, she's definitely a soprano.

      Makes sense that she would improve so much in little time given she's trained as a musician and knows the kind of discipline, physical preparation, and work that comes into mastering an instrument, her voice, in this case.
      Also it's working since she doesn't sound tired and swollen (on her vocal folds) by the end of a concert anymore.

    "Coloratura Mezzo-Sopranos have agile runs up to even high C but also call for just as much oompf in the middle and bottom of the mezzo’s range.
    Some coloratura mezzo-sopranos can sing up to high C (C6, 1047 Hz) or high D (D6, 1175 Hz), but this is very rare. What distinguishes these voices from being called sopranos is their extension into the lower register and warmer vocal quality."

  • @faouziahuangxiaoyunbrandyn1814

    Darker-colored full lyric soprano with great lows. The density of her natural timbre screams soprano. And her voice in the 4th octave has very clearly shown that her instrument sits obviously higher than even a high mezzo. Her voice is rich and heavy yet very warm which indicates that she's a full lyric.

    • @GarageStudio7
      @GarageStudio7 Před 2 lety +7

      It's about where her voice comfortably sits, and it doesn't sit with the Sopranos. She has the tessitura of a Mezzo-Soprano, not a Soprano. Compare her to the likes of mainstream Sopranos from the ones who aren't developed to the ones who are developed technically and it's obvious that she doesn't sit with them. She's a Mezzo-Soprano whose voice is developing and will mature and peak later than the Sopranos.

      Nope. A full lyric soprano is someone like Mariah or Whitney, or even Demi Lovato. Faouzia is 1000% a mezzo. She may be able to sing as high as any soprano but her voice is clearly placed lower, this is evident by her weighty lower register and fourth octave notes. Her ease in her upper range should not be mistaken for natural tessitura (or comfort zone).

    • @sandy_carpetsthesecond5013
      @sandy_carpetsthesecond5013 Před 16 dny

      Actually, I'd argue she's a dramatic soprano, simply because of *how* warm her tone is and how much volume output she has.
      Whitney Houston was a full lyric soprano, but she was heavily trained and older than Faouzia. And Faouzia's mids seems to have a similar volume output and depth to some of Whitney's strongest belts almost constantly whilst still being too young for her voice to have completely set.
      To me, that's definitely giving Dramatic soprano. I just don't see how a full lyric would have such powerful belts at her age untrained at all, and I sure as hell wouldn't see a full-lyric belting at that volume consistently without blowing their voice out.

    An adult woman's vocal range is typically 165-255 Hz, while a man's is 85-155 Hz. The most common voice type for women is mezzo-soprano, with a range of G3-A5. This voice type produces a darker, deeper sound with a strong middle voice. Other voice types for women include:
    Contralto: The lowest female voice type
    Soprano: The highest female voice type, with a range from the A note below middle C to F/G two octaves above
    Mezzo-soprano: A diverse voice type with a range of G3-A5

      @@faouziafcextra1800 look, a singer as proficient in music vocally as her must have gotten some sort of professional tutelage as to how to sing correctly sing, place her voice and protect it, that i can tell from how she writes her music and performs too, she is very talented nonetheless, but technically speaking, she has some form of training or tutelage, maybe not in the early days of her career, but now, definitely, every singer wants nothing more than Career longevity, if she doesn't have any form of training as you claim she doesn't, with how vocally tasking her music and songs are, her throat should have been a wreck by now.
      Talent is great and all, but vocal longevity matters most and that kind of vocal longevity for a great career as an artist can only be gotten from technical training and tutelage from a professional coach. All your Favs have professional voice coaches but would all not admit to having one because those coaches are literally gems that can't be exposed for "public patronage". If you know, you know.

      @@faouziafcextra1800 I can go on to list talented singers who "self trained" themselves and ended up having their careers cut short because they're voices were terribly hurt from the work that's demanded of them, I can also list those who started out "self trained", had minor issues with their voices and quickly got into training to fix those issues properly in order to enjoy a long career, in addition to this, I can list artist who started out "self trained" depending solely on their raw talent and were quickly wise enough to get training in order to refine their talent and master the delivery of their instrument in various styles and last but not least, i can list singers in pop and modern music who have the talent, started out with training before going professional and, enjoy a beautiful careers with full functioning voices as though they haven't aged a day! A good example would be Celine Dion, Michael Bolton etc.
