I understand that little turn of a vowel that westerners just can't quite hear to be able to say it like a native speaker. So to keep control of the process you pick your name that every body can get along with. It is like in the states some people pronounce wash as wash and others say it like waersh. Both sets spell it the same way but boy they do not say it the same.
Daneliya Tuleshova, who I hope can sing with you someday, Has the same issue between the west's way of dealing with vowel groups and the Kazakh way of saying that same vowel group as in their language they aren't bound by those same rules. I just tell people to act as if the (i) isn't there when saying her name, but you have to spell it with the (i) back in the name. See there are three vowels there with a possible vocalization of EE or the long E sound. It makes us nervous that it is not there so I eliminate the problem by just tossing the (i) out. Still everybody gets entrenched even when Danya says it in front of the whole world on AGT to Simon as Dan L yuh I run into people who will swear they hear an ee sound in there. O.K. I'm done. And the crowd cheers.

She's saying fuzzy-a. Like, you gotta be a little aggressive with the pronounciation.

Yeah. Exact same problem with my last name and I also chose to just pronounce it fully differently too bc the 'close but not correct' versions made me way more uncomfortable to hear than the 'wrong but fun' way I chose instead. You'd think 3 letters wouldn't trip people up that much....

I'm from Germany, but my parents are very interested in Indian culture, so they named me Sukanja and we basically changed the pronounciation completely so everyone could pronounce it xD (we say soocania)
My best friend's name is Karwan, but we Germans can't really pronounce that right either, because we would say v instead of w, so his parents changed it up to Karuan and now everyone says "carooan" which is not very nice either xD

My last name perplexes people all the time. It's French, and supposed to be pronounced hassARD, however, my dad's family has been in the U.S. for at least a few generations and they all pronounce it like a fire hazard. So that's the way I say it and so does everyone else except those that want to make themselves sound wise and say it the French way just to irritate me.
