Christian is from UK. In case of someone wonders. So this would be closer to his real accent, even though you most hear american English in his Movies. But he is born in Wales, dont no how long he had that accent though.

I think he was referring to that in one of the answers. The actor can put their heart and soul into a performance, but in the end, how it comes across to the audience is up to the director.

My favorite actor
I always get the impression he's performing a character when on stage. In press interviews his energy is completely different and almost humorless. On set (see outrage) it's different again.

That is his true accent. There are very few actors in history that have been able to take on the physical roles. Up in weight, down in weight. I have a feeling that the drastic moves may catch up with him.. I lost a tonne of weight and gained it back twice and I am still trying to shake the effects.

my two favorite actors are Johnny Depp and Christian Bale, if I got the chance to meet one of them and have an interview or short conversation I'd take Bale over Depp hands down, mainly because I think with Johnny a conversation has to progress very meticulously and you have to get him in a comfortable enough setting or else the whole thing would be very awkward
