- Starting in iOS 16 and iPadOS 16, you can use your iPhone or iPad with LiDAR to help you identify when people and objects are near while moving around. You can use People Detection, Door Detection, or Image Descriptions in Magnifier to get rich descriptions of your surroundings, including text and symbols around a door, how far away you are standing, and even how to open it.

Voiceover has allowed me to achieve a level of independence with my Apple devices that I would not have been able to achieve if I was using an android.

I understood it says you have to have LiDAR, but I didn’t understand that it only came on the pro models are better, I’m totally blind and that would be a sweet feature but I have the 13 mini because I don’t want a large phone due to the fact that I don’t need the screen , what a bummer

With my iPhone 14 Pro, I can use "human detection" and "door detection", but I can't use the image description. Do I have to turn on some other settings, or I'm a minor, so Screen Time is turned on, but do I need to turn it off?

iPhone has another accessibility feature called VoiceOver where the contents of the screen are read aloud and you use gestures to navigate.

Great question, and one we’d like to help answer. There are several Accessibility features to help those who have trouble seeing in order to navigate their iPhone. One of note is the VoiceOver feature which speaks what shows on the screen aloud.

Unfortunately this is Just Worked on IPHONE PRO MODELS THAT HAVE LIDAR SCANNER LIKR IPHONR 11 Pro,12 Pro, 13 pro, 14 pro that means IPHONR 11,12,13,14 and 14 plus can’t do this😢😢😢
