    make sure you have a good earth ie ground to body or gauge will show full all the time

    What about the fuel gauge on a speedo cluster on my 1980 CJ5 jeep? Temp gauge works good, but my fuel gauge pegs to the left of E when off, and when I start it, the needle only reads on E and won't move past it. I know I have fuel. Gauge needle for fuel is moving, so it is not the gauge. Can it be the ground wire on fuel sending unit? Thanks. Mark Feuerherdt
