  • In this DIY episode, I show you how to install a prb oil pump onto a K24A. This process is similar for K24A2, K24A4, K24A8, and K24A1. This is a must have for any racing you plan to do (drag racing, autocross, circuit, etc) if you have a k24 engine.
    Tools and supplies you need:
    10mm, 12mm, &14mm sockets.
    Impact or rachet
    5mm Allen wrench or socket
    A drywall screw
Flat blade and philips head screwdrivers
19mm weighted socket or your preferred method for crank pulley removal
    sharpie marker
    safety glasses
    electric grinder with cutoff wheel
    Masking tape
    Pliers
    PARTS you NEED:
    1) Bolt for Block 95701-08020-08
    2) Oil Pump 15100-PRB-A01
    3) Windage Tray 11221-PNC-000
    4) Guide 13460-PNC-004
    5) Bolt for pump 95701-06025-08
    6) Cover seal 91302-PNA-004
    Oil Pump Chain 13441-PCX-004
Bolts for K20A2 oil pan 95701-06032-08

Thank you very much! I am a total amateur mechanic and I kept coming back to this video for step by step instructions. ❤️🇦🇺
When it came to removing the oil jet the screw method didn’t work as the plug was spinning in the hole. I drilled in with a 2mm bit and it was enough to pop it out. So satisfying! 😊
Sorry but I used red RTV. 😉

Great video. Don't think I'll be doing the k20A2 oil pump since I don't plan on hanging my k24A in high RPMs often - just some spirited driving from time to time. Anything you'd recommend on a K24A RBB4 before dropping into the engine bay? Figure the t-chain doesn't need it but perhaps a new tensioner?

Does the timing chain stay the same if you add the pump to a k24z3 engine? Or do you have to install a k20 timing chain?

Dude this a great video!! I have a 1989 CRX with a K24A2. I'm not sure if this mod was done but I will do it cause of the extra oil pressure protection. Supposedly it allows the K24 to reach a little higher RPMs? Anything else in there you'd suggest? I saw a video where someone replaced the 25 deg cam gear...?
