    Perfect Video.. exactly what I was looking for on help with my septic system. Thank you all for taking the time to make this video. Really appreciate it and now should be able to diagnose just what's wrong with my system. Thanks again!

    Thanks Curtis, good simple walk through. I'll attempt to check mine. Let's hope it is that simple too.

    What model of Control panels are you using?

    Hi. I was wondering if you could show me how to turn off the audio alarm. The setup I have is exactly like the first one in the video. The alarm constantly goes off whenever it rains and I can't silence it every hour.

      +Andrew Concepcion Interesting! First try to figure out if rain water is getting into your pump chamber if it is stop that source. Assuming it isn't rain getting into the pump chamber I would look at the panel next. Should be a number for the manufacturer in the panel to help diagnose any issues with the panel itself. Good luck!

    Is it normal for the tank to make that dripping water sound? I read somewhere that the tank should not make any sound but in the video that sounds just like my septic system. This is all new to me so I just want to make sure things are in proper order.

      If your system has a pump chamber like this one it would be a normal sound. It is the water falling into the pump chamber from the septic tank, just a bit of flow coming through when we did this video. Best of luck with your system they are easy to forget about when all is going well!

    Great video - Have you ever seen a panel where the "Auto" Feature just stopped working? I have a duplux system with alternating pumps made by Liberty Pumps. Both of the pumps run fine in Manual mode, but neither will run in auto. I have tested all of the floats with an ohm-meter and they all responded properly. However, the box doesn't seem to be getting the signal. Also, I can't get the green light on the circuit board to light up (checked fuse but its fine). I did find a bad breaker in the box when first diagnosing the problem but it has since been replaced and auto still doesn't work.

      +Jeremy Beer I apologize for not getting your question until a year later! Curious what you found, sounds like you did all the steps that point to a bad panel. Was that the case?

    • @06192JB
      @06192JB Před 8 lety

      +Curtis Wray yep - bad panel. they didn't make that panel anymore so would have had to get a whole new system - quoted me $2000. decided to install 1 new pump with a manual float which would by pass panel. can still turn on other pump manually in case of emergency. fixed and running well for the last 18 months for $300.

    hi i have an alarm going off not sure if its hi or low level when i manually drain it shuts off could this mean theres a problem with the pump or the float?

    • @MrYoudigit
      @MrYoudigit Před 8 lety

      +minnie pearl Sounds like the pump is working on manual I would assume the floats as a starting point.

    I have a very good question what does it mean when your septic tank pump has soap in it

    • @MrYoudigit
      @MrYoudigit Před 6 lety

      Good question! Not sure what would is going on with that. Are you saying it looks like soap or is soap?

    • @souleater7443
      @souleater7443 Před 6 lety

      Curtis Wray it is a hundred percent so I don't know where it's coming from but now my pump won't turn off it keeps working and working and there's nothing in there

  • @berkferker

    My alarm went off 2 am and I shut the alarm off then turned it bk to normal red light stayed on ten mins and went off again don't think my sprinks are spraying but not 100% sure what do you think that is water level is fine two days later no alarm except at 2 am

    • @MrYoudigit
      @MrYoudigit Před 8 lety

      +berkferker I apologize for the long wait to reply I wasn't getting the notices! I hope you have solved this issue by now! If not give the manufacturer a call or your installer sounds like a timed dosing panel with the on off float not shutting down the system.
