A very bizarre upper level set up is about to get underway. Energy at the base of a trough at the highest point in our atmosphere is likely to break away and "jump jets" headed south towards the Gulf coast line. As it runs head first into the subtropical "El Nino" jet, it will pick up some steam and could produce strong winds, flooding rainfall, and isolated pockets of severe weather.
