  • Feel like I waffled so much in this vid but here's me describing roughly how my calisthenics journey has gone so far. Started calisthenics in April 2022. Very proud with my progress so far and excited to see where my progress is at a year from now. Thanks for watching :)

Love your energy ! It's great to see passionate people like you ! I started calisthenics about the same time as you did (already had a pretty strong foundation) and I have just unlocked the handstand pushup, my next goal is .. also the front lever.. you probably have a stronger pull then I do (which is super impressive to me ! I can barely do 2 ring muscle ups and 1 bar muscle up so congrats!), one day my muscle ups will be as clean as yours ! My first calisthenics goal (which I achieved two weeks ago) was L-sit to handstand I unlocked the handstand presses along the way, I recommend that goal if ever you want to start your push journey cause there is a lot of fun to be had there and it's complemented the pull goal quite nicely. If ever you feel like sharing your front lever tips or even full session I'd be interested to see and compare it with my own program (I'd think we probably have a similar plan but hey I wouldn't want to miss out on advice you might have that can speed up the process). Anyway, congrats again on your achievements and good luck for the front lever (I'll race you to it :P)

Im glad to hear your experience coz I can relate to some of the situations you been thru, I remember when I started in 2019 I did self yoga daily stretching and some beginner calisthenics moves, but I did no gym, no equipment, only raw on the floor mat, eventually I didnt need it eithe. In almost 5ys time I unlocked deep splits, backbends and push up handstands, into planche transition. I been a skater all my life before starting this superstrength lifestyle, and I definitely agree with your decision to train the muscle up for the most part 👏🏻👏🏻
I personally recommend daily stretches (any ya like) and crow poses to muscle up transitions.
These two are the fundamentals to achieve any result you target next. When I started I knew it was so dam ffff hard to do the change so I kept repeating to myself “If I do it every day in my own free time I know my body will achieve it eventually cause thats how human anatomy works”. And thats how I made it.

Yess exactly!! If you keep doing something, and keep staying consistent to a goal, it’s definitely possible. Good to hear your side too :)

Front lever is very hard. I had a break from it as wasn't really getting no where from advanced tuck. Looks like your nearly there

I was also at the point where I felt like I wasn’t gonna move past advanced tuck hold. But trying different variations can help :)
Assisted with the bands, negatives & even adv tuck pulls

@JuliaSivacenko yes I try all that to. Current approve is the toes to bar to upside down deadlift by Chris haria. Can do 3x10 on them when starting at the toes to bar but can't do more than 5 so far when including the toes to bar in it

If you're stuck on adv tuck I would recommend doing weighted pullups/getting your general pull strength up. The front lever is less a skill and more a strength move and to do the full front you need to have a decent level of pull strength.
