A few fun codes for SMB for code lovers:
PAYSUK - like another similar and famous code, but you can actually finish levels (since you fall down after a while - when underground, you seem to be stuck, but wait for a few seconds, and you'll fall down).
GUAAPE - lots of ones and zeroes. In Castlevania, it causes moonwalking.
SNAPUU and its somewhat more playable cousin NNAPUU: lots of corrupted blocks, lots of flagpoles, weird music and bizarre stuff. PEAPKL is another variation on the same theme, which also makes funky music.
      ZAIAPE - very corrupted sprites.
      And two for Castlevania 1:
      PEAAPA (bizarre zombie-walk)
EGIAAE (similar to YEAAAA but for CV1).

The attempted stomp-bounce SONIKO code (D9F4) is near the correct hex address, needs to be 2 addresses previous (D9F2), and the value needs to be changed in the FCEU widow to something like:
D9F2 = F9 ONYIXO Mario bounces about as high as he jumps
D9F2 = F7 NNYIXP Mario bounces higher than he jumps
Lesser values will make him bounce higher (even above the screen) and faster, higher values will reduce it to a tiny one.
D9F4 will only make the value from D9F2 be stored into a variable different than Mario's vertical speed, so it's useless beyond making Mario sit on the enemies lol (at least in this ROM version).
Glad the code was shared, though, because the fixed code is good one. :)

      @deoxysandmew2162 Před 2 lety

@@zerospacer Im digging the NATUTV code. It makes level have underwater physics, without water.
This is exactly why you cant do much.
The only levels that are normal are 2-2, 7-2 and one underwater part of 8-4.
Oh yeah... and underwater bonus areas.
I have found something similar to AETUYG but without the perk of higher jump.
      "OPZAEY"
That code makes Mario's jumps to be 50/50's. Either a normal jump or short hop.

On the software side of things, famicom and nes games are virtually identical. At least in terms of being able to run something on one or the other. There was a very limited run of the game genie in places like brazil I believe that can be used on famicom hardware, but that is exceptionally rare. You can use an adapter to play NES games on famicom to use a game genie on a famicom, and then you would need another adapter or an everdrive to play famicom games. Or you can use the game genie with famicom games in an emulator.

I know why your codes aren't always working as advertised. You're playing the Duck Hunt Combo. Funny I had that one as a kid too!

AEAAAE is like mariobros but you're speedrunning because each stage is about to crash. most insane code ever

Discovered a new code while plugging in different values for 8080 (what YEAAAA effects) and I got this: AEAAAE Its better than YEAAAA, just as trippy but more stable, very rarely crashes. I think it looks even cooler also. anyone reading this HAS to try it! Its the best one I found while plugging in random values for two hours.

Use that first code and a level select code to put you in a different place.

    Hi gruz
Yesterday I watched a video about the most strange Famicom game:
Takeshi’s Challenge,it could be very fun to see a video on your channel. 😉

Just as long as he doesn’t add Game Genie codes, that game’s so weird the combination might actually disrupt the fabric of the universe…

YOLLYT- fireballs are wonky. (Not the duck hunt/smb1 combo. You need to use a OG SMB1 cartridge. I used the World version.)

There are always two different Game Genie codes that do the same thing. I guess it only likes one of the two.

Wonder why NES Game Genie uses seemingly arbitrary chosen letters while its successors use standard hexadecimal numbering.
