  • The 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV is here and ready to shake up the premium Large SUV segment with its own combination of luxury appointments and all-electric performance. That's right; it's coming for the divisive BMW iX and recently facelifted Audi Q8 e-tron as the zero-emissions alternative to Stuttgart's GLE.
To be fair to the Bavarian, 'divisive' is also a word that can be used to describe the EQE SUV, given its intense focus on efficient aerodynamics have given it an unusual shape for an SUV. Of course, the same can be said of the EQE sedan upon which it's based.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Dave Morley finds out if there's more to the new EQE SUV than its exterior styling, covering what its entry-level 300 version offers inside as well as how well it drives. It should be good given luxury cars and EVs are a match made in heaven, but watch this video to find out if it actually is.

You failed to point out that the GLE has a LOT more boot space - 630L!! (with the 2nd row up)
P.S the background music is too loud

Nice review. Any idea about space compared to GLE ? Specially in rear seats.

I am a GLE fan. I actually owned a 1999 ML for 18 years. Bought it new. The EQE back seats are much more comfortable than the current GLE. One of the things I miss about the ML is its back seats. The 98 and 99 had three separate full size seats.

Good review. Considering Merc cant sell their EQC stock with a $40k drop (now sitting at $120k) i doubt this one will move many either. I mean, Tesla Model Y long range, dual motor, $47k more in your pocket, better charging network & speed,range,performance..
I'd love a Merc at some point, but with all these shortcomings - ill pass.

It’s not always about saving $…we aren’t comparing apples. The EQE is superior.

@@johnclaeys376 id personally disagree. Less range, less performance, 2wd, slower charge times. Real leather can ony do so much... But i understand everyone has their own take on it.
