YA books have always been very close to my heart and they are what got me through some tough years as a teen/young adult. However, TODAY we are tier-ranking all the big YA books I read from back in the day-from the really bad to the really good. I hope you enjoy!

Potential video idea? Maybe trying to find an adult version of a YA books now? For instance if someone enjoyed Nancy drew you could recommend an adult book with some similarities/parallels.
2010s Me would be so excited to watch this. I feel sad I didn’t have a YA Phase apart from Nancy Drew or Feluda.
.... I found Champion's ending to be so happy xD
That's one of the reasons I love it so much.
The nature of THIS type of dystopian series is one that normally can't end happily. It's either bitter-sweet or plain bitter. Lu made it happy anyway. And the reason it worked is BECAUSE she did a very specific thing at the end~
The nostalgia in this video!! I still have a few of these books on my shelves!
This is so nostalgic I love it!! Been reading old favourites too!
I haven’t even watched the intro yet and I’m hyped because this is a video I’ve been WAITING to see from you since so many of your old favorites became mine too when I first got back into reading heavily!
💗💗💗
I love this!! Some I’ve heard of and loved and others I’ve never even heard of and love knowing about now!
Wow , what a video . Got to know about some of the books to pick next.
This reminds me I actually read more YA back in the day. Not as much as was listed here. I jusr don't remember much of this time in my life lol.
Now I'm in a YA era again, even though I'm not in the age range. There are more diverse titles these days, so I'm having fun.
I wanted to mention that the slavery in The Winner's Curse is styled on Greek/Roman slavery, which was very different than the chattel slavery of the American South. I'm not sure that makes the romance less problematic (although I adore that series), but I remember seeing criticism at the time about how the slavery was not very accurate because people were expecting a depiction of American slavery. I do think there are some notes about race in the book, but I think both leads are meant to be white.
fair enough! I think i had the same thought as well while reading but I do remember that the love interest (Arin) and his people definitely had "darker" skin, but that may have been more to differentiate the empires vs being a specific callback to American chattel slavery. regardless, I'm in the same boat as you, I really loved the books!
This Dark Endeavour is so incredible!! I love Kenneth Oppel so much
I’m sending you all the love and great vibes❤❤❤
So much nostalgia!
I love watching your videos. ❤
I will always take recommendations from you.
If you could, could you please make a video about your favourite authors?
I would love that ❤️
I miss this phase of the internet so much.
Booktok and spice right now is insane.
This video was so nostalgic and just another reminder of how shocking this change is.
Omg I used to write Eragon fanfiction too, on Wattpad actually! Did you ever use that platform? 👀
Fun!🎉❤
where's Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe??? I loved this book
💜💜
I’ve still never read so many of these, and I was to just to see what I think of them 😂
yesss eragon renaissance it's happening
For the algorythm ❤
you're a real one 🥹💗
God the Raven Boys was so bad. I think if you read Shiver, you should have included that too!! Stiefvater’s books have always been flops for me…
omg i completely forgot that i read Shiver... definitely a flop too lol
@@thisstoryaintoveryeah that’s why you didn’t remember. So bad it didn’t even make an impression 😂😂
