In CyberPunk's defence, they tried a lot of new things and mechanics and worked overtime to meet deadline but failed. All Rockstar had to do was follow the damn classic and that's it they messed it up. There was no rush, just pure lack of respect and care for the games and the fanbase that made Rockstar Rockstar.
You're wrong because this wasn't by Rockstar, it was remastered by a smaller studio called "Grove Street Games" that may or may not have inexperienced employees. Just like RE3 Remake where Capcom outsourced a smaller dev team called "M-Two" to make it for them. That's why it was a bit lackluster compared to RE2 Remake.
You cant compare this with CDPR's issue, because theirs is completely internal. The company was in shambles during Cyberpunk's developement, that's why they came out with a faulty product.
But you can compare GTA Trilogy's situation with XIII Remake, where the IP was bought out by a very small and unknown studio with an inexperienced team. The result? A butchered copy of the original game.

@@aklapa318 no, that were two different scores. Each platform has it's own. The Switch version at the start has 0.7 and the Xbox Series version has 0.5
All criticism ,of any kind, on any subject, in any field will be disabled in the future. Just look at the patterns in media for the past 2 years.
It's funny that some of the bug that showed here actually happened to me in OG version of the game, example the Floating car driven by NPC or the car stuck on the ground of under the bridge that will not blow up unless you're near the car but you can look at it with a Camera or Sniper, sometimes another car would get stuck with it creating a giant mess on the road.
I logged countless hours on the original and never saw either of those.
I had a few bugs and glitches back then for sure, but none even close to these.. NPC's always did cracked up stuff too, but a few "funny clips" from this version proves it can actually get even worse too LMAO
Ironically, the highway blockade chaos was the most common road issue back then, and also the most hilarious.. but they seem to have fixed it now. Why fix the good problem and leave all the bad ones and add even worse? :(

As someone who used to be a game tester at Rockstar I can clearly say that the reason why the game is so shitty and buggy beyond belief is that the remastered games are all built using a 3rd party game engine (unreal) while the originals all used Rockstar proprietary engine. Yes it's not an excuse to make the game so lame but the game was not meant to be remastered in unreal. They should have remastered it using RAGE tbh

I wouldn't be surprised if all the capable devs were fired or driven out of Rockstar years ago, most of the teams are working on how to milk more money from the GTAV multiplayer, and this "definitive edition" turbo-letdown was outsourced to some Malaysian code shop to save a few thousand bucks.

Those are exactly my thoughts. The game looks very weird. It looks like they let an algorithm run through it. Probably hardly checked the work.
That's not got anything to do with AI upscaling.
Don't get me wrong, the textures _are_ simply upscaled but you don't use an animated texture to rotate the burger. You just rotate the model and that's even less work than using software to automatically upscale the textures.

I've really enjoyed playing GTA SA on my PS2 as a young girl. It was my favorite game. I've loved the port they made some years ago on Android.
And I'm now loving that my favorite CZcamsr is destroying this dumb remake they are pushing now.
Im feeling like major game companies don't care anymore. This whole thing just turned into a scam to lure more players into the game for memes on how bad their game is and making money over it. I'm afraid it's not gonna get any better anytime soon. It's a modernized way of scamming we can say at least for now.

This is like the Silent Hill HD Collection all over again, but arguably worse.
The HD Collection (the patched ps3 version) is at least playable, but haven't played the og since the ps2 version is expensive as hell.
The hd collection was the just the voices tho
@@JamesGalaxy41 there were some issues in-game such as the lighting, but I believe a good chunk of them were fixed with the patch. There are some fps inconsistencies but it's definitely playable.

Rockstar Games has become so indifferent to the players that they decided to make a remaster of the original trilogy without any effort. GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition is an indicator of how to make remasters is not worth it, cartoon characters, terrible optimization, cut music and of course the bugs of the mobile versions that have moved - it's all about the Definitive Edition. After watching the trailer and the gameplay that was merged the day before the release, I realized that I would not even go into the Definitive Edition, and what to go there, everything is already clear from the trailers and gameplay.
This definitive edition just makes me wanna play the originals even more.
