It's a bit odd that people have been bemoaning that the likes of Ryan Baird, Tom Ahern and Cormac Izuchukwu, Gavin Coombes and to a lesser extent Max Deegan have been held up a chance at the 6 jersey for Ireland because of Peter O'Mahony being nailed on at 6 regardless of form. Now that Ireland seems to be turning that corner with O'Mahony, it is now being said that Beirne should that jersey? Come off it. A Joe McCarthy, Tadhg Beirne with James Ryan off the bench is a stunning 3 lock trio. We have a glut of flankers chomping at the bit. keep Beirne at lock and feed the young pups.
