I'm so sorry, A.M. As difficult as it is for us to hear these dear little ones are gone forever, it must be so hard on you! I was especially fond of Bebe. She was such a little sweetie, plus that was my granddaughter's nickname when she was younger, so the name had a personal connection for me. I haven't seen Bubbles for quite awhile. I do hope nothing bad has happened to her.

OMG....I can't believe Beba is gone. I just saw her on last Wednesday. How could that of happened. I miss her cute little face. Tell me she isn't dead. Along with Desert she was one of my favorites. RIP my little Beba. I will always be thinking of u.😢😢😢😢
And yet we only saw a little fraction of them. There's about 26 troops and 29 bachelors groups in Hong Kong and the vast majority live in this country park. If not full time at least part of the year. There's around 3000 monkeys. 🤓🇸🇪
Would it be possible that because of how big a wound Bebe got that she would be more susceptible to predators in the forest? Babies are rarely swiped like that and the scent of blood and her small size would unfortunately make her a target.
What i don't understand is when we saw Bebe last week she was still limping but the wound had closed and they have that remarkable healing power so i don't think septic comes into play so what happened?!!!
She was still limping though and had difficulty walking. It's likely she fell behind when the troop was fleeing. Normally, she would have been carried by her mum but her mum wasn't as readily available as she was out looking for a mate. An aunt wouldn't be able to keep an eye on her all the time. A baby or infant with problem walking and climbing probably won't last long on their own if they got left behind.

But Bebe was healing. I dint get it. Also, would a male wanting to mate take such a dastardly swipe at a baby😮 or domyoi think it was a fight over food and Bebe got in the way😢
@@kendee_ I wasn't thinking of infanticide, more like just swatting the little one away. Also thinking it could have happened during a dispute. There was a baby that was bitten during a fight, and lost use of his rear limbs.
@@elinabello19 Ahh I understand, but yeah considering this was the height of mating season when troops are the most hostile towards each other it's very likely she accidentally got hurt in a dispute and either the wound didn't heal right or it left her to the point where she couldn't keep up with the troop and got lost and her mom couldn't find her.
Hi Charles how are you? I think the difference between Dopey and Knotty regarding mating are two major things. Dopey has far more confidence than Knotty and he also has that attractive inherited red colouring. A monkey who has redder part is more attractive for the opposite sex. 🤓🇸🇪
The dogs have the right to live too. Either this females pregnant or she has puppies somewhere. The feeders feed them too. They feeders know that they monkeys don't eat meat so those buns was meant for the dogs and for the boars. The different species live in harmony with each other. 🤓🇸🇪
@stephensmith1419 these are wild animals sharing the same space - they have not gone to finishing school. LOL. it is their duty to find their food and protect it from other animals. did you see the teats on the dog? she's got a lot of little ones somewhere she has to nurse.
Could it be possible that Bebe injury worsened and humans interfered? Same with Dan could he too been injured? I know you say its very difficult to grab one of these babies. But the same people who run the cage could in fact take them. For reasons of helping or more nefariuos reasons. There are very cruel people in this world. I would think between people recordind and feeding them someone would have see their bodies.

Rhesus males aren't known to commit infanticide, especially not in Monkey Hill. It could be her wound got infected.
