- Before I take the cf moto apart for the smart car build I had to make sure it would run and drive without any issues. so I figured the best way is to rip some doughnuts and run a quarter mile track out back! now we have a baseline to compare when we get the smart car body on it lol. Cheers Pete and JD. Those turtle Tommy stickers are the best. Lol.. cant wait to see the finished product on the CF smart moto. Words of wisdom from a long time body guy. Buy those front fenders for your Dad's old dodge as the inner and outer fender as one unit, don't buy just the outer otherwise you will be burning a few extra hours in time and some drill bits drilling all the spot welds off that hold the 2 together.

Always love the videos pete!my father has the same model but his is a 21 but it works pretty good!they do have a problem with one of the gaskets i cant remember what one,but it would piss oil,but other then that it works good!

Will they really let you get away with registering that thing as a smart car with just a body swap or are you just going with the theory of it's easier to ask for leniency than permission? I could never get away with that in New Hampshire and I own an inspection station lol

That is no defense for making low quality equipment, and everyone knows that Japanese quality supersedes Chinese quality by a mile - it isn't even close. I'm truly shocked he said that, and it doesn't hold water at all. I also got a huge kick out of the excuses for the 23 second quarter mile pass.
