Jason and Lady Reck, I'm 71, from Florida and will begin the Frances at SJPdP on April 25th. As with most of my treks or mountaineering I watch CZcams videos prior to heading out just to familiarize myself with the upcoming adventure. I have watched hundreds of hours of CZcams videos for the Frances and have found your videos the most entertaining, meaningful and real. Because of your videos, I have downloaded the Relive app and hope to share this upcoming adventure with my wife, our children and our grandchildren. I'm not that tek savvy when it comes to iphones but I hope I can fumble my way through. God bless!

@@RecksTreks Two of my Camino family from last year ( a couple from Franklin, TN) are doing Del Norte as we speak. They love the beauty, the trail is quiet which seems to suit you ( i prefer a bit more pilgrim camaraderie ) and less albergues which also suits you guys. BUT, their opinion, the days are considerably harder (lot more big elevation days ) so maybe not harder than hard Frances days just alot more of those O’Cebriero kind of days..

Pickle ketchup need to find it here in the states sounds wonderful!! I don't know how you made it through that road that looked like a tractor went over it. I would have been flat on my face. I am glad your feet are doing better!! LOVE you both can't wait till your are home soon it will be State Fair time!!

My darling wife may have put Pickle Ketchup on the grocery list. My youngest boys's ears perked up when he heard that. He would eat pickles for breakfest if i let him.

I leave for my camino in less than a month. Just bought some mymedic bandages as I have a toe that needs constant taping. Thanks for the recommendation.
Our go-to tape is Leukotape P. It's the first thing we pack when we go hiking. My husband even sticks it on his feet when he goes scuba diving (!), because after many dives in a short time, his fins chafes his feet. So, I understand why Lady Reck is so adamant about that tape! You guys are as excited about your ketchup as the Aussies are about their vegemite 😉. We saw so many Aussie pilgrims with a pot of vegemite during our Camino. Oh, lovely mud ...
We have already ordered a tape resupply to meet us at home

You two get five stars on your Camino walk. God has blessed both of you with a great walk! Really like when you mention where you are staying and show what the accommodations look like. You two are also blessed to be able to take so much time off of your jobs. We eat lots of vegetables and were wondering if the restaurants have raw or cooked vegetable available on the menus? Thanks for sharing your journey.

Espana frites don’t do it, we wanted some other potato preparation or rice or …….., just not frites
Las patatas fritas son buenísimas hechas en casa, peladas en casa y fritas en aceite de oliva.
Las congeladas, invento norteamericano , son horribles . Son las que se comen en restaurantes baratos como en casa Donald.
Vayan a Madrid a comer a casa Lucio , patatas fritas con huevos estrellados, 30€ 😂❤ 👍🏼
