Metroid prime trilogy steelbook is my most valuable Wii game. My dad got it and played it when I was little, but when he gave me all of his wii games I never touched it until I heard about how much it was worth a couple years ago and realized I had it in mint condition
I purchased, played, and finished Fragile Dreams a few months ago. It's a pretty cool but lonely game with a sad story. The atmosphere is really good. The music, art style, and voice acting are also great. The only thing the game does bad is the combat. It's super clunky. But if you look past that it's a very memorable experience.
Great video, sir! I collect 7th gen, but never really had a burning desire to collect Wii, but a few weeks ago I scored a CIB copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy for $3 from the local Goodwill, and now I think the Wii bug has bitten me. 😆 That said, I only buy games I want to play, so no complete set stuff for me. As you said, expensive doesn't = fun. Rule of Rose on PS2 is pricey as Hell, and I didn't enjoy playing it at all.
Great video! I'm always on the lookout for these types of games. My best finds have probably been a 30$ lot that included Gunblade NY and LA Machine Guns and a 25$ lot that inluded a 2for1 power pack game.
I used to work at walmart back in 2016 and there was a huge stack of brand new Rhythm Heaven Fever on clearance for $10 and no one wanted them. Crazy how things change
Wii games are sold at Gamestop in the US but prices are pretty close to market value on most 1st party titles. I believe they only take in first party titles. was lucky and got Pokemon Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness for the gamecube for 80 bucks a couple weeks ago at my local gamestop. Love the info and stories keep it up!
Thanks for the info. In Canada they stopped selling them years ago. I remember hearing they were clearing them out and hitting all 12 locations in one day. Most were $1.99-$4.99. Those days are long gone :( All GameStop has now is Switch, PS4 and 5 and Xbox One. Thanks for watching! More coming soon :)
if there’s one game I wish I could purchase it’s probably rhythm heaven fever. I never really liked rhythm games but once one of my friends made me play one I actually really enjoyed it. Nowadays though, I can’t afford it. I don’t get why that game’s worth 150 bucks, it’s out of my price range/league for sure. Seems like a cool game but unfortunately seems to be one I might never get unless I spend to much of my money on it (and it’s still going up too…)
People treat Wii as a "fad", but I think it really made significant changes in modern gaming. 1. It's Virtual Console is responsible for bringing vintage games from prior consoles to the market. PS and XBox went on to emulate it. I feel VC gave new life and popularity to all sorts of old titles. It embraced hordes of indie titles which were traditionally shunned from consoles. 2. Nintendo Wii brought in people who don't traditionally play games. It was a gateway for a lot of non-traditional players as well. 3. Nintendo tried something new with the controls which allowed for many unique titles to take advantage of them. The Trauma Center titles come to mind.
I finally got Dokapon Kingdom earlier this month for a relatively okay deal, disc only though. I consider it to sunset my Wii collection for now, sitting at around ~130. At most I might jump on a Mario Party 8 or Silent Hill someday, but im pretty satisfied with what i have! I'm not sure if i'll collect for another console yet. I'm very glad I got solid deals on complete copies of Rhythm Heaven, Gunblade, Fragile Dreams, Fire Emblem, and Pandora's Tower. I think besides Dokapon, the most interesting valuable thing in my collection is The Last Story Limited Edition. In particular, the NTSC edition is a little more uncommon than the PAL edition. (But the PAL edition is a better package overall) The Wii is fun to collect for because its the last console to have games that, for the most part, still contained actual manuals and inserts inside them. Most of the time in full color too, especially first-party games. By the PS4/XB1/Wii U generation, most physical games only contain a disc, at least in NTSC. I think Little King's Story will increase in value eventually, its still an incredibly slept on game that is still mostly exclusive to the Wii. It has a PC port, but from what I understand, a very poor one.
Gun blade was close to making the list. It may keep going up as well. Pandoras Tower is also going up in price. My copy is sealed. I literally only have 5 sealed games on the Wii and they are all uncommon/pricy :) Just worked out that way when I grabbed em. Yeah the Last Story Limited Edition is not common and hard to find especially for a cheap price. Thanks for your comments and support!
Agreed. Funny enough a number of games on this list have dropped substantially since I released it. I always make sure to state that so called “rare” games often turn out to be pretty common and are propped up by speculation.
As a anecdote Collecting games in south America is sometimes great and shitty at the same time. There’s really expensive import from usa, jp or eur things, but there’s so many treasures that people here doesn’t know. Just today I purchase Wicked monsters blast with the 2 blasters (game sealed) the box of the guns not in good shape but complete, it cost me like 14usd. The guy was trying to sell ir for like 2 months on fb marketplace. Last week find a rare “not for sale” promo copy of demons souls ps3 eur for 7usd. Sometimes third world countries has his advantages! 😂
game collecting sucks these days. happy to say i have 6 of the ones on this list. that fritz chess i was searching for in the wild towards the end of 6th gen to no avail. the mensa and veggie games i never heard of until it was out of my reach in price 😭

Right on! Glad you kept it. It is a great trilogy to own and the price seems to be steadily going up.
I couldn’t imagine paying $100-$200 for games that were not even good. Good thing you got them when cheap
Yeah for sure. I don’t envy people having to pay $200 for a bad chess game now lol

Well, I guess I’m just glad that all the good Wii games are affordable. 😂
I only own two of these, Metroid Prime Trilogy and Rhythm Heaven Fever. My collecting journey has been to get the best non-sports games.
Cyberbike is a few pounds on eBay over here in the uk. Lots available too.
Great video! I'm always on the lookout for these types of games. My best finds have probably been a 30$ lot that included Gunblade NY and LA Machine Guns and a 25$ lot that inluded a 2for1 power pack game.
Nice! Gun blade lees climbing in price as well. Great score.
Good video man! I'm a small pal colector so I can't relate to the prices, but it's fun to know nontheless!

Happy i got my Metroid for ~ 20 $.
Wii games are still sold at select GameStop’s they don’t carry everything very small shelf mixed in with Wii u they only do trade in for big titles
Good to know. I’ve been to a bunch here and none had Wii or WiiU.
Cool list and video! I’d love to see more of these in the future 😊
I have the rarest Wii game video being edited. Should be out this weekend! Thanks for your support!
good video, got a bunch of these ones in the collection
Hey, great video! Fellow Canadian collector and new sub here ☺️
Thx! I subbed too. Can’t wait to check out your vids. Seems right up my alley!
@@teamgsale Thanks :D Cheers!

I’d love to complete my Wii collection, but there is just so many 😮😢
Yeah the library is incredibly large and sadly a good chunk of it are games that are terrible :(

Dokapon kingdom is getting a physical switch port. I wonder if that will affect it
In the UK, Ju-on is £32
Amazing video I'm now looking for soul silver pokemon ds
Thx! Tough one to find these days. Especially if you want the boxed one with the Pokewalker :)
Speculators are some of the worst people for gaming. They do a tonne of damage.
Agreed. Funny enough a number of games on this list have dropped substantially since I released it. I always make sure to state that so called “rare” games often turn out to be pretty common and are propped up by speculation.
my most valuable wii game is mario kart i got at a garage sale for $1. haha if this tells you how small my collection is right now
I've never even heard of the the top 3.
I sold off my Wii collection many years ago. The only game I still have is an unopened copy of Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn. 😐
This is an awesome video. I had no idea any Wii games had any value. Wow.
Thanks! Yeah some do and others are steadily going up. Not NES value but still decent :)!
You'd be surprised. A lot of wii games are really pricey. There's just so much trash they get overlooked

Got the calling that's gone alot expensive got few years ago possibly got more rare 1s
I had The Grudge and got rid of it. It was too boring for me.
Wow, wii is considered retro now 😂
Bruh ps4 is retro by now lol
I used to own Dodopon Kingdom, terrible game, no one is missing out if you cannot afford it.
