We took a trial run of the Geo Pro 19FBS and this is what we found out! Check out my other channels also: Riding with Ron / ridingwithron Kiilmoth / kiilmoth
Really enjoyed the video! An honest owners assessment! It’s good to see one from someone other than a dealer spokesman. We purchased a used 2020 in September. I waited and watched and finally found a local private sale on a very lightly used 19FBS. 62 year old man wanted a boat to use with his grandkids, so he was selling his Geo Pro. I paid about 14K less than a 2022 at the nearest dealership here in Tacoma, WA. Some of my takes, you did well decorating it! Good job! I also like the string of lights on the awning. I also have shelves in the cabinet. We have a drilled hole in the panel with a cover to pop off when and if we need to reset the inverter. We use a French press for coffee! Boil the water and away you go! Sorry we are snobs and do not use a machine. That saves a little room not having a coffee maker on board. We added BFG All-Terrain tires to our GP. They look super sharp and ride well! Also added custom rims. We use a sway system on the hitch, with my 2005 V8 Tundra we have no issues with tongue or pulling weight. It sits perfectly even or flat as well. We also love the oven, we dry camp and a gas oven is a must for pie, biscuits and gravy, any other desserts, or a lasagna! In one of my other trailers our fuse box crapped out and we had no furnace. The only heat we had was the gas oven, set it on and open the door in the morning to warm up the trailer. We were getting snow in June so the heat was very appreciated from the gas oven! Can’t do that if all you have is a microwave. Maybe I will do a review this spring? 😂
I'm just watching your first video and I really appreciate your comments about what it's like from an owner perspective. I noticed little things that y'all have done that are great ideas to make ours more comfortable. We don't have one yet (we'll also need to get the right TV) but we've got the bug and it's now on my "Want it NOW" list!
Trailer looks very nice! Love the decor! I'm thinking of buying a Geo Pro, so of course i think ya'll made the right decision!! Enjoy life and count your blessings!!!
We have an E-Pro 19QB and we have the exact same issue with the 30 amp cord. It does screw on but sometimes it takes a little patience. You have to line it up even and apply a tiny bit of pressure when turning the black connector. But it does fit.
Just sold my Flagstaff 206STSE pop-up this week and will be purchasing a 19FBS soon. Loved the pop-up, didn’t the love the hour or so on each end setting up and breaking down. Beyond excited for the upgrade and so nice to see your impressions. Thank you for sharing.
Nice rig! Thx for the tour, nicely decorated! We have a 18' custom built trailer ordered up here in Canada, a Taylor Coach. We found them on youtube when I was looking up about pop ups🤣🙋♀️😍🇨🇦, we ended up buying a 12ft Taylor Coach(selling pop up we used once), travelled 33USA States and 2 Canadian provinces, our 4cyl suv had a towload of 2800lbs and our trailer was 2000lbs loaded. Boy, we sure were happy to have an ac in those southern and eastern states!!! We loved that trailer so ordered one a bit bigger! We joined a camping club called Boondockers Welcome and it was awesome!!!! We also used Passport America and had a National Parks pass! Luv the USA!!!
We have the same microwave. I figured out that it is on it's own breaker switch in the panel. I shut that breaker off at night. The Blue toggles are a standard size and I plan on replacing them with Red LED toggles so they wont be blinding at night if you leave them on.
@@apex_ventures I found the best price at Northpoint RV up in Georgia . Down in Florida it is 23K to 25K. In Georgia $19,995 all in +tax. Worth the drive to go get it. Everything on order it seems but will probably have some by the end of the year, Im in no hurry but want the best price.
@@guspaca494 I hear ya Gus. I'm dying to get one now but also feel like the prices will be better in a couple months. It's usually that way every year although I wonder if the pandemic boom will make it better or worse. Thanks for the heads up with Georgia dealer.
I have seen that, seems they have made some changes. Like ours has a 60x80 mattress and the new ones seem to have a smaller one with a shelf on one side.
Don't forget to insure the grab handle is not folded back towards the rear of the trailer when you retract the awning...Crunch...The awning motor is very powerful... trust me...
So I just moved from a pop up to a 20 foot keystone Springdale. I have a 2015 Tacoma. I had a weight distribution hitch installed and I think it helps the sway and the tongue weight. Maybe something to consider. Also I plan to install the Firestone ride rite air bags on my Tacoma this winter to help with the rear of my truck squatting down. I look forward to seeing more of your videos since you are in a similar situation. Thank you.
Another Geo owner, make sure when towing be perfectly level when hooked up Tongue weight should be fine.Mine"s been pretty good.Replaced tires with Goodyears.Took off water saver in tub,it was causing low pressure in kitchen sink.Dealer agreed. Now solar panel of roof is defective, glad that has a 5 year warranty.
I have gone to collapsible bowls and dish strainer for the kitchen. I bought a nice set of plates and bowls from Amazon with a camper theme on them as well. I will Post a pic next time we go out....
Overall, a good video. I have a 2021 on order, and should get it Sept. sometime. I am a single male and can always tell when a women is involved decorating. LOL.Good luck.
Love the looks of your camper, it’s my next one after learning about camping for three years now. Where can you set a small coffee maker ? My Wolf pup 16 Fq has enough counter for that and a small toaster. The geo pro looks really shy on counter. Also my outlet is on the wall above the counter so when camping I can leave the 4 cup coffee maker out and not be to much in the way.
We put the coffee maker right between the door and the sink and the plug for it is right below it on the wall. The toaster goes on the closed glass stove top and put in a cabinet when done using. We love this camper boondocking to hookups we love it!!
I am waiting for another one of these campers to come in at the dealer but while I wait where did she find the live love ❤️ & laugh totes for above the bed? Thanks!
The Bad: If you camp in cold weather the front window condenses badly and the amount of water dripping on the sill puddles and runs down the wall. I have to keep a towel on the sill and soak the water until the sun warms up the window. Also occurs inside cabinets over couch. My fridge died after 6 months and took Dometic 2 months to ship new compressor. 2 of my stove burners popped off in transit and had to be repaired. The batteries drain pretty fast with the heater fan running along with TV and a light. Only turn the Inverter on to power a blender or coffee maker if running on solar or it drains batteries as well. The emergency window is at head of bed and tends to close on your head if you bump it and the pull down shade stopped functioning in a few months and haven’t been able to get a replacement so far.....bad design; should have put that Emergency window on the other side. The Good: I’m full time now for 13 months and have weathered snow and cold with the heated tanks and furnace comfortably. It tows well with my Ford van equipped with air bags which I added since the trailer rides high. I like the long table to use in food preparation and added an additional fold up cutting board at the end of the counter for dirty dishes. I also put shelves in the wardrobe closet for a pantry instead of clothes. I put a heavy duty wardrobe hook on wall behind the toilet for my tops and use the area above the bed for pants, extra towels, and sheets. Home Sweet Home 🤗
We haven’t camped in cold weather, hard to do that here in Florida, but we have learned to keep at least one window open just a bit to keep condensation from forming in the coach on the ac and near windows.
Nice review, is there a Max fan to help circulate the bathroom moisture out? I'm looking at this type of Camper, under 3500 lbs dry weight. Did you find out your tongue weight?
I found the couch cover at a store named Ollies Bargain Outlet. I believe l got the bed cover at Amazon. The over bed containers at Old Time Pottery. Thank you.
I have a 19fd n one thing to be careful of is when pulling the drop shade down not to pull off the bottom bar a easy fix is to slide the bar off n give it one more roll n then slide the bar back on n u r good to go
Good video! Thx for sharing! Luv the camper. Excellent window placement and good floorplan. Hows the shower water pressure ? Tip:Shoes should not be allowed in the camper 😉 happy camp’n
Like you, I am in Florida and this is the exact same model we want and have been researching. I love the way you have decorated it! So cute. We can’t find a dealer with this model anywhere near us. They are all carrying the bunk house ones, which doesn’t make sense as a couple (about your age). Where did you purchase. If I may ask (and feel free to PM if you want), what was the final price you paid? Trying to know what to expect.
I am glad I found your vid! I have an 18' Colorado Z71 with the V6... What is it like towing this trailer with this truck? I am looking at the same trailer but in BH format. With a family of 4. Either a G19BH or a G20BHS. Also, What trailer brake controller do you recommend? Thank you
To be honest it is not the greatest if you fill it up with fresh water it bounces you all over the road. Watch our other videos you will see I purchased a new tv to pull this trailer.
I know this was an older post, but people still come here and look at comments for info like me... The heavier of your two trailers is the 20BHS with a UVW of 3513 and a CCC of 842 (2021 models) for a GVWR of 4355 which should be well below the tow rating of your Colorado if it’s rating is the same as KampyKampers which he said was 7000. (Keep in mind that pushing the payload limit of your TV will likely reduce your actual tow rating so as to not go over the GCWR. If you don’t know what that is or what that means, spend a day on google doing research and that should help you a lot.) You do have to be mindful of tongue weight but it’s doubtful, even loaded with fresh water, you would exceed that, but even if you got close and weren’t comfortable with it, you could use a WDH to reduce the tongue weight. WDH may be best for this regardless. Properly equipped Colorado’s and Tacos should safely tow these trailers especially if used in conjunction with a WDH. Now they may not be as “comfortable” pulling them and drivers need to feel comfortable with the set up as well, but that is a personal “feeling” and doesn’t really translate. KampyKamper wasn’t comfortable, but others are.
You’re welcome. If you don’t have your TV yet, while I stand behind what I said, a 1/2 ton pick up will tow it much better if you plan on traveling a lot and great distances and up steep grades especially in higher elevation. For me, I don’t tow that much which means I want to pick the best vehicle for my normal usage with it being able to safely tow, even if it’s not ideal to “easily” tow, if that makes sense.
@@marihendrickson My family wound up choosing the R-pod 193. If the one in this vid is the same it will tow just fine. I did get the Equalizer 4 point WD hitch though. Which will help out with anti-sway when it gets windy. Also, on the last 4 trips I always seem to like to tow @ 60mph... less strain and much better fuel economy. I can at times forget the trailer is back there to be honest. She did really well too with the 30gal fresh water tank filled for our dry camping trip. The Equalizer WD hitch we got was the one rated for a 10k trailer. Their calculator recommended it for us since I wanted to put several hundred pounds of gear/fluid in the truck bed and several more hundred in the fresh water tank. I will have a 30A generator in the truck bed for dry camping on the cheap.
Looks wonderful. The shower, does it provide adequate room to maneuver without touching the shower curtain? Should your wife have any additional interior designs, perhaps pictures at the center of the cabinets above the kitchen area. Just a thought. Overall, it appears both of you made a wise choice. Please continue the reviews on the Rockwood. Thanks for an honest review!!
I am not a small guy and I can take a shower fine, when you wash your legs you will touch the shower curtain. But not enough to push it out and get water everywhere.
We just got this camper! You gave me so many good ideas! Anyhow, where did you get those baskets that fit so perfectly on the shelf above the bed? I have to get some!
@@KampyKamper Dang it! I tried searching for them but they aren't coming up. Oh well, I'll check Amazon to see if I can find something similar. Love how they fit!
I know this is over a year old now, but isn't that a East-West bed in the 19 series? Did you guys change something, or just have it set up to look North south? I'm considering a Geo Pro but I really like the North-South bed in the more expensive 20 series.
You mentioned a lift for the trailer. Did you put it on yet? If so, do you like it? Also where did you get it? I'm looking at getting a similar Geopro trailer and want to lift it a little and tow it behind my Silverado. Want it higher as I'll be taking it off the beaten path, but not any major trails.
The bed when you look at the floor plan on their site looks like a east-west orientation but it looks as if you use it as a north-south orientation? If is is east-west you would have to crawl over someone to get in and out!
I would check the tongue weigh fully loaded without fresh water and then again with fresh water and check it to what your tv can handle. From what I have seen a lot use a WDH with midsized trucks. I for one didn’t want to deal with the WDH so I just upsized my TV.
Thanks for the video, I’ve been shopping for alittle over a year now and every time I say I want a geo pro the sales guy try’s to talk me into something else, are the geo pros hard to get or what ? I’ll just wait and get what I want
The tongue weight is very close and when I filled up the fresh water tank at 60mph it was a white knuckle ride. If you keep watching my videos you will see I upgraded my TV to a full size truck.
Single axle close to gvwt with stuff and fluids...Double axle safer..these have wafer board floors I have a Winnebago micro mini on order double axle plywood floor.. Having a blow out going sixty mph with a single angle would be a YIKES Batman moment. Spending a few dollars more for safety is worth it
I seriously considered this model, but ended up going with the 19QB instead, because of the bed. The QB comes with a full queen bed, rather than the "RV queen" that's in the other models. The downside is that it's oriented sideways, which causes it to be a real pain to make the bed. I do kind of wish I had the couch that comes in this one, rather than the dinette, though. The bed finally won out, because I spend more time there than I do sitting on the couch :)
🤣🤣🤣 13 mpg towing at max capacity in a 1/4 ton pick up is hilarious..... stop lying to these people. If you have a fully equipped rig you arent getting in the teens what so ever unless your cruise speed is 30 mph. You might want to double check your tow rating as well... unless its the diesel only the single cab, 2wd no frills 1/4 might be able to tow that much. Just a heads ups.
Just bought my first camper last week. I really like the decor in yours.
Awesome! Thank you!

We found them at Target, I thought they would fit but I had no idea how well!
@@KampyKamper Dang it! I tried searching for them but they aren't coming up. Oh well, I'll check Amazon to see if I can find something similar. Love how they fit!
@@KampyKamper Also loved the little foot stool. I found those on Amazon! 😁
@@terpstrak hey there he made a mistake we got those from Old Time Pottery store.
good job
Thanks
Toilet cassette big plus for this trailer 👍
This one does not have a cassette toilet we have a black tank.
If you’re that concerned with tongue weight drop down to 1 battery and 1 propane tank- save 25% or so🤗
I know this is over a year old now, but isn't that a East-West bed in the 19 series? Did you guys change something, or just have it set up to look North south? I'm considering a Geo Pro but I really like the North-South bed in the more expensive 20 series.
We just put our pillows down and slept that way. 😊
I’d get a weight distribution hitch. Is your Colorado a 3.6L gas model?
Where did you get the live love laugh storage bins. I need those!
I have not put the lift on. As it stands it lines up perfectly with my TV and we have not even come close to dragging as of now.
The bed when you look at the floor plan on their site looks like a east-west orientation but it looks as if you use it as a north-south orientation? If is is east-west you would have to crawl over someone to get in and out!
Yes having a popup before this we were just kind of used to it. We like laying there looking out the window.
Sorry if I missed it in your video, but where did you get the match couch cover and bedding? Cute as hell!
I believe it was on Amazon.
I put my temperature gage over the microwave timer bc the blue is so bright
Is that blue bright or what!!!
I just bought the same Geo Pro but how does the radio work can't get the audio for inside to work Help
What is it not doing?
Where did you get your bed and sofa covers please?
One from Amazon and the other one l got from Ollies Bargain outlet store.
Will this last if you use it full time? Looks nice!
With the microwave you can set the dimmer on that so it is not so bright.
It was still to bright for us, but thanks! :)
How did your concerns over tongue weight work out? I’ll be pulling my 19FBS with a new Tacoma Off Road. Do you think I’m going to have an issue?
I would check the tongue weigh fully loaded without fresh water and then again with fresh water and check it to what your tv can handle. From what I have seen a lot use a WDH with midsized trucks. I for one didn’t want to deal with the WDH so I just upsized my TV.
Can you link to your purchases?
Thanks for the video, I’ve been shopping for alittle over a year now and every time I say I want a geo pro the sales guy try’s to talk me into something else, are the geo pros hard to get or what ? I’ll just wait and get what I want
Yes Def go with a Geo Pro you will not regret it!
We had a hard time finding the one we purchased. Only 2 in Florida at that time.
How did the hitch weight do? I have a canyon and am thinking of getting this camper too
The tongue weight is very close and when I filled up the fresh water tank at 60mph it was a white knuckle ride. If you keep watching my videos you will see I upgraded my TV to a full size truck.
what year is this Geo? I haven't seen any with a queen bed oriented that way.
Could I tow this with a 2015 jeep grand cherokee?
You would need to look at the tow capacity and the tongue weight of your tv.
Informative video from a cute and friendly couple. Helpful. Not boring as hell. Great job
Thank you..
how does the colorado feel pulling the 19?
We upgraded, with water it becomes a white knuckled ride.
Awesome Stuff. we'll make It! See ya xd
Single axle close to gvwt with stuff and fluids...Double axle safer..these have wafer board floors I have a Winnebago micro mini on order double axle plywood floor.. Having a blow out going sixty mph with a single angle would be a YIKES Batman moment. Spending a few dollars more for safety is worth it
Agreed, but I do love my GeoPro, I wish it had a double axle. But I will never be close to the gvwt I use the truck bed for storage.
I have bad quality experience with Forest River. Have to accept the bad quality with such low price.
I was presently surprised that nothing has failed in this unit.
I’m looking at this model myself. It will be my first rig on my own. Looks like it would be a bugger to make the bed.
It is not that bad, just pull the corners to you for the fitted sheet then start at the edge against the wall and work your way to you.
How are you liking this after three months?
We are loving it, in fact going boondocking this weekend!
How do you guys fit in the bed? Work pretty well?
The bed is actually very nice we are very comfortable. Plenty of room and I am 6’ and I can stretch out with no problem.
Actually mine does have a full queen, I don’t have the little shelf they put on the new ones and it is a pain to make but very comfortable for us.
We have the same model. My husband is 6’3” and we fit perfectly
Keeping at 60-65 mph with minimal stopping ( turnpike driving ) that is the mileage we experienced. When pulling this trailer I don’t hammer into it.
I will show my door sticker in my next video.
Um, Um, Er, Ah. Get your thoughts together and make it interesting. Too many pauses, ums and ers.
Well, Umm, thanks for, umm, watching. :)
Where's your videos so we can see how much better you do?
Um uh, I see you don't have any videos.
🤣
Nice!
Thanks!
