Why the need for the chip? Can’t you just use the midi pedal with the 505 without the mod? Your video didn’t really explain why the chip was important

really need your help as i bought the fcb1010 and had no help on how to program it from behringer or the vendor! i really wanna know if i can just program the fcb1010 manually to rec/play on track1-5 and undo on 6-10? this is all is want to do but the manual was not much help to me!
Yes. You can essentially assign any function of the RC505 to any of the pedals with ranges and polarity and other parameters. Keep messin' with it!

IVE LOOKED AND READ ALL THIS FOLLOWED CZcams VIDEOS ETC, AND FOR SOME REASON EVEN THOUGH ITS PLUGGED UP RIGHT, IM FOLLOWING EVERY STEP BY STEP VID AND MANUAL, ITS NOT SENDING THE CC MESSAGES TO THE RC505. IT IS ONLY CHANGING THE MEMORY THAT IM ON WHEN IM PRESSING AND PEDAL ON THE BEHRINGER. PLEAST HELP!???? IVE BOUGHT THAT FCB505, BUT THOUGH I DID, I WANT TO KNOW HOW TO DO THIS MANUALLY?!?!?!

@@sec1live240 In the MIDI video everyone says that you can connect anything to the 505 mk2. But there is no video on how to do this. I have a 505 mk1 ball and it worked in conjunction with an FCB1010 with a chip for 505 mk1. I haven't found a solution yet.
