      Being social is the number one source of undesired emotions. Social isolation has reduced my level of emotions to negligible levels. Social isolation is something all should try for a year to see if it is for them. My social isolation was supposed to be temporary, back in 8 August 2000. But it has such enormous benefits that I am still without friends and aquaintences today. The benefits of social isolation far outweigh the negatives of it. All should try it.

I probably stayed there around 3-4 mins and go out. Then go to a quite street in the mountains and find nearest plain or park that's quite and not much people around. Enjoying the view and stayed there around 2 hour then left.

      Everyone whos going through this: it’s ok. It will get better. Find what comforts you, find what you like. Find somebody who you love and when you are with eachother, it feels better. Does not always need to be a significant other, it can be a pet, friend or a family member, then also your partner. Do what makes you feel happy and better, or talk about it (I’m always here for a start) just so you know, it’s ok. You’ll be alright. Do what you love and what makes you happy. Make sure you take breaks if you’re stressed. The breaks will help you. but don’t push everything behind or you will be more stressed. there will always be something/someone that can help you ❤️

    I can relate to pretty much all of these and I really have known something was off for a while. I just didn’t really know what it was. My mental state has been rolling down hill for around 4 or 3 years now. It really started with motivation. I just stopped having enough energy and little to no motivation to do anything even the things I loved. A little after my grades started falling I came from an all A’s student to barely scraping by. Then I stopped properly taking care of myself the main thing is eating. There where some days I would not eat and when my parents made dinner I would take it to my room set it down and about an hour later put the food in the fridge for someone else. I have also had problems with sleeping, self hygiene/care, My social life, being disorganized, and paranoia. I have really kinda given up on expressing my emotions as well. I do realize that it wasn’t the best decision but I don’t know what else to do. I feel like I have been backed into a corner with no where left to go. I have tried to get myself back on track but I can’t figure out how. At this point I am not even sure what has gone wrong. My life has just become a complete mess.

      Taylor Beckwith “but we’re expected to just get over it” because more than likely your parents and their parents just got over it - it’s what they know.
      Now that doesn’t mean they are right but it doesn’t mean they are wrong.
      The key is psychology convinced parents to raise kids (like you) with participation trophies, you having a say in your punishments, timeouts, finding value in all that you do, not keeping score, etc.
      This caused children to be unable to deal with stress (most not all). So it’s not your fault, but you need to figure out a way to improve your abilities.
      I am someone who lives an extremely high stress life yet none of these things apply because I am wired (and that was my parents and environment as a start and then my development) to handle this. You can too and I would suggest you need to build these skills.

    Burnout is becoming an epidemic. Our bodies were simply not designed to undergo the amount of stress and pressure that most people deal with on a day to day basis. Most people spend the majority of their lives in survival mode, not ever fully resting or getting their physical or emotional needs really met. It’s so important that we begin to take much better care of ourselves, and to learn to slow down and only include things in our lives that truly add value and hold true importance. It’s ok to step back sometimes or rest when you need to. Know how deeply you matter and that by taking care of yourself, you are able to offer your best self to the world and begin to enjoy life and not just endure it. I recently made a video on this topic. Be good to yourselves, beautiful souls! ♥️ Happy new year!

    • @SirPhysics
      @SirPhysics Před 4 lety +35

      @Jonathan Neufeld Speaking as a teacher, a lot of the blame for that in the modern educational system is the push for "accountability" in the form of standardized tests a la No Child Left Behind or its successor Every Child Succeeds Act. It's incredibly difficult to write a multiple choice test which can be given to every student in a state which tests how to think. Some teachers really are trying, but the system is generally against us.

Same, I did an intelligence test at my psychiatrist - I thought I did everything great, but my psychiatrist showed me the results saying that during it I was way too stressed and I didn't realise shit thinking I was calm as hell😬 Anyways, I got almost over avarage on describing words (forgot what that area was called) and much below avarage on memory. Istg that graph was connected to each other and I hadn't seen anything fall down like that ever since my serotonin after I turned 8

    imagine this,you was living your life as a kid and even tho your life wasn't great you don't really care about it,it doesn't affect you in any way,you met a girl,get to know her,get attach to her but then you grow up and you realize that all the thing that doesn't affect you before starting to have negative impact on you,you start to stay up late at night,thinking about your life,crying alone at 3AM.you never thought that you would become like this but you still have something to strive for,you still have someone you can talk to,life still wasn't really good but it's still your life,you was trying your best to turn your life around,to be a better person but then one day out of nowhere that girl said that she doesn't want to be with you anymore,she doesn't even said why and the worst part is that you don't really have anyone else you would want to talk to.you suffer from a mental breakdown .. eventually after a while of strugging you get back up,you try to make things right,but everything you do just wasn't working,life just feel meaningless at that point.even though you aren't crazy yet,but you just can't seem to want to do anything anymore,you feel useless,you blame yourself for everything that happened,so now .. i want to ask you,what would you do if you were in that situation

I was burned out after summer and I did that I started small rewarded small and etc now I’m doing pretty good in education and relationships and I reward myself better for example I rewarded myself for christmas with new Phone because I was super productive in december. • @Bellasie1
    @Bellasie1 Před 4 lety +1

    Quitting a good job because of unfair treatment/bullying and a very toxic work environment was the first step, because my physical health was starting to fail, too. Nearly all signs apply to me and I have been fully aware. Reasons are : no family alive left/bereavement, childhood traumas, toxic relationships past and present, multiple bullying experiences, unhealthy and unfulfilling work environment, a sense of helplessness due to continuous genuine efforts in every field that never truly paid off. I'm sure this is very relatable to many people, because when it started off awkwardly, it seldom goes on beautifully, and there's a domino effect to all this. To cope, I have a habit of learning about things I love and enjoying beauty anywhere it shows up : art especially music and dance (not actively of course), travel or coffee table books. In my personal culture this situation has a name, it's called HIKIKOMORI, or social withdrawal, when you literally end up fearing going outside of your own bubble, because society has become so hostile to you it has become synonymous with danger. Huge problem in Japan, meaning it's related to enormous social and professional pressure. How to get out of this situation ANYWAY is what I wanted to learn.

    No. I have energy.

    …2… You’re not taking care of yourself.
    No. I still work-out, read, study things I like, and groom. A lot less music though... as there is no longer a song in my heart.
    +++
    …3… Your performance is declining.
    No. It comes and goes depending on how I am feeling at a particular point in time.
    …4… You’re emotionally volatile.
    No. But hearing Amanda’s voice always makes me feel like I just got an audio hug.
    +++
    …5… You feel down most of the time.
    No. Very disappointed, but not down.
    +++
    …6… Your social life is going downhill.
    What social life? A couple of good friends died young and I really do not have any new ones as I am quite independent.
    +++
    …7… You feel hopeless.
    Well, the situation of a short man is effectively “hopeless” as women these days immediately disqualify you for being “too short”. Those that still consider you are mainly waiting to find some other tiny flaw to disqualify you. Unless you also have an attribute that makes marginalization not just OK, but a badge of honor (because “girl is special, and girl not want to be seen even near short man!”) you will not understand.

      Honestly it is good advice, they could be more specific and practical with it but destressing is very healthy, pls try meditation it clears your mind and helps you focus on what YOU want to think about not your brain running away on anxious tangents. Also medication can do wonders, any anxiety medicine is very helpful but can take a few weeks to get to optimal results. I personally have found cbd to be AMAZING. As long as you are over 18 it is legal, no card needed, and it has optimal results almost immediately and you can play with the dosage to get the right fit without worrying about taking too much or something because it's super healthy compared to medication. Anyways I have also learned to basically lasso my thoughts and counter them with positivity but again, meditation and medication are an absolute miracle from God. I don't know you but love ya. Hope things get better for you soon!

    I’m emotionally burnt out because if a toxic friend...She drained me of all my energy because she would always want to talk and when I didn’t want to talk she would act depressed and I would stress that she would be mad at me. I am always fatigued and nothing has helped me feel energetic, not eating, not sleeping, not just relaxing in general. And she acts like nothing happened to me. She drained me so bad, she forced me to isolate from my family, forced me to isolate from my other friends and if I would go back to my family or other friends she would act depressed to get me back to her. She used me for her own personal gain and forced me to this masuline image she could look up to. I never wanted to be this manly image for her. Deep down I knew I was feminine and soft. Anything remotely feminine she would call “basic“ or “bratty“. I love being a girl and I love the color pink, doing my hair, doing my nails and fashion and she just didn’t understand that and would force me to be something I was not just to fit her standard of a friend. And she had the audcity to say she “tried to unfriend me but I emotionally malnipulated her into staying“ when it was the other way around and she had done that to me. She played victim and emotionally drained me of everything. So I had enough. I cut her off for spending lies about me and trying to malnipulate my other friends againist me, which she fail terribily at. Now I know what is wrong with me and I am using the help of my friends and family to help me get better. I only cut her off a couple days ago but I’ve never felt so free. I feel like my wings grew back after them being cut off so many times. I feel like me. I am finally me. I am finally free.

    Thanks. You just described me perfectly. I hit every one of these. I just can't believe how many people feel so unloved and worthless, like myself. Peace to all of you.
