An outstanding piece of metal music history. An album like a flowing river; a piece of art, a 45 minute painting crafted in metal, a composition that would not work if you change one song in the track order. None of the songs seems to works in its own ... but all together they create one of the best musical journeys on headphones! The "dark side of the moon" of death metal :-)
Not even the only album Tiamat made that matches your description. Their concept crafting and album composing is second to none.

What a great album. It has everything, the influences range from doom and gothic to psychedelic rock to ambient, and some acoustic parts contain even flamenco influences. It's beautiful how they concentrated all of them into this album. Nice production as well.
The end of the last title is jazz influenced as well....
Великолепный альбом, пронизан минорными нотами, но в тоже время силой и мощью звука, волшебное звучание как паутина соткано разнообразной аранжировкой песен, что выделяет его не только из репертуара группы Tiamat, но из репертуара других групп того периода.Это лучший альбом десятилетия 90-х, оценка 10 из 10.

This album si a gem. I love it. One of the greatest metal album ever created.
It is unique, it is fun to trip with it cuz I think Johan was tripping when he created it.

Had this album come up in my recommendations. I don't usually dig metal but this album was a work of art! Whether you heard it when it first came out or are just listening to it now, it can have an effect on you. You don't need to be old and you don't need to be a metalhead to appreciate this album. In fact, I'd recommend it to all sorts of people!

Man I missed so many good bands back then, I was big into the metal scene but there were just SO many bands out there. This album is incredible, it would DEFINITELY been on my favorite list back in the mid 90's, heck it's going on my favorite list for '23. Better late than never I suppose.
And the metal bands, good ones, have just grown and grown and grown since then.

Bought this album few weeks after it's release... I listen it since forever and never gets old.
One bit and it's no less than 30.
This was never a fresh or new sound. Its just done well. It does sound dated tho

Mit 15 Schulabschluss, Ausbildung zum Maler und Verputzer, mit den kumpels aus nen alten Wohnwagen und das was wir bekamen unseren Treffpunkt gebaut , mit unseren lehrlingsgehalt , wir waren alle headbanger, unsere MCs, CDs dann beim EMP bestellt. Das war 1995, tolle Zeit, tolle muke, tolle Bands, Gotik, Death, Black und ber Anhalter durch die Galaxie ne zu den Beatabenden. Ich grüße alle die so denken wie ich❤

This album - along with Therion's "Theli" - marked my entry into the genre around 1996. Got a CD a few years later to have the real thing. Still awesome today - truly great stuff withstands the test of time.

Brilliant and for me a significant milestone in my musical journey, thanks for uploading and hail to the algorythm for recommending it to me in one of my darkest hours since a long, long time. This is what I needed so badly without knowing, reminding me at the best times I had in my life and keeping the head up high in remembering that there will be better days coming....

Программа называлась "Рок Посев" в 1986 - 1988 проходил службу в СА и тайком по ночам получалось ловить на радио приёмник VEF такие передачи .
