- Theli es el quinto álbum de la banda sueca de metal sinfónico Therion, considerado como el disco donde a base de la continua evolución musical de Therion llegaron finalmente hasta crear y desarrollar posteriormente el género "Metal sinfónico", siendo Theli un disco referencia para las bandas de symphonic metal posteriores. Theli también incluye una balada, "The Siren of the Woods", escrita en la antigua lengua acadia. En la portada del disco aparece Seth una deidad egipcia...

for me, one of the 10 best albuns from the 90's: the perfect marriage between classical music and heavy metal....the originality, the beauty since the beginning of Preludium, the masterpiece To Mega Therion; Dan Swano on Cults of the Shadow and Nightside of Eden; Piotr and Christopher Johnson voices; the best "ballad" ever (The Siren of the Woods), Invocation of Naamah (reminds a little Lepaca songs). A genuine masterpiece

Therion has very good albums, but this one belongs to another world, I don't know what they took or what they did when they created it, but it is pure state of grace, pure inspiration.

Years ago, my mother asked me to give her a ride somewhere in my truck, and I had this in the CD player. When she got in, she got this weird look on her face and asked what I was listening to? I told her the band was called Therion, and she said "It sounds like an attack by a damn Hun war party." That's always stuck with me. My friends and I called the truck "The Hunmobile" after that.

In my seafaring years I happened to find myself in Lebanon during 2015 total Lunar Eclipse. I couldn't imagine anything more appropriate to listen to than Theli while watching that spectacle. Masterpiece!

@@adamkl8581 pewnie dałoby się dodać jeszcze imama śpiewającego z wieży minaretu, kometę i jakieś syreny na brzegu. A jednak ta chwila się wydarzyła, a w tle leciało Theli! Mam nawet umiarkowanie udane zdjęcie, ale muzyki na nim nie słychać ;)

Con este disco, fue dónde Therion empezó a tocar Symphonic Metal. Algo curioso fue que Christofer no le tenía tanta fe a éste material que terminó convirtiéndose en uno de los mejores discos de Therion.

Między innymi dlatego właśnie, dla trzech przyjaciół w 98r., stał się jedynym słusznym wyborem na soundtrack do przeŚwietnej planszówki "Hegemonia", ilekroć wojenkowania na większą skalę nam się zachciewało (po 13/14 lat na ten czas mieliśmy), a bywały wojny które potrafiliśmy przez kilka tygodni toczyć 😉

parce pero años yo tenia como 6 o 7 años y una prima lo escuchaba ese fue mi primer acercamiento al metal, recuerdo mucho cuando sonaba to mega therion, empezábamos a mover la cabeza juntos
