- The Indiana Jones movies have always been so important to me throughout my life. Honestly, without them I don't think I would ever have gotten into film and I can't really imagine how my life would be without that. These movies are the movies I watch through every rainy day or when I'm at my lowest. Thank you so much Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Harrison Ford, and John Williams. Here's to hoping Dial of Destiny is great!

Instead they look up to Andrew Tate and the Paul brothers.
Literally my biggest hero character ever. So glad I got to grow up with these movies.

As a kid, I always wanted to be just like indiana, jones, go on great adventures, defeat the bad guys, and save the day Raiders of the lost Ark will always be my favorite of the series

When school was rough or home wasn’t so good either I always had a dvd or vhs to put in and crawl under the covers and forget about life for awhile. 42 years gonna miss you Indy
When fictional characters become one of the greatest people in history. This gave me chills. I love the series and Harrison is my all time favorite actor. This is one movie series that can’t be beat

It may be the weakest of the series, but it's still one of the best jungle adventure movies of the last 20 years.

Jones is great because he’s painfully human.
He is a very complex character but the writing is so nuanced that most people don’t notice how well he’s actually written.
Thought I was the only one of my generation that still appreciates the childhood magic of Indiana Jones. Good edit man.
as a kid i assumed everyone watched/grew-up with the same movies, then i realised my dad was very invested in showing me movies he thought were really good. Im sure many other Gen-Z watched Indy as a kid, at least I hope so, its easily one of the best action franchises. Maybe thats nostalgia but of the Top 100 action film lists I’ve seen, it just stands out so easily. And it can inspire just about any kid.
@@GuineaPigEveryday I completely agree. But from my experience, not too many of my Gen z peers have the same appreciation for the series as I do. But I think that makes me like it even more, knowing that it’s not another mainstream series. Same thing with Ghostbusters, another one of my favourite cult classics. Both of them are highly rated masterpieces that still get so much praise today. But I don’t know if the reboots are going to help or harm their reputation.
@@bshaun2740 I mean Ghostbuster Afterlife was fine, and i think even with Star Wars it will always bring people back to the originals if they watch the new ones as kids, I mean I grew up with not just the originals but also the prequels and that didn't damage my love for Star Wars, newer kids will have grown up with the sequels too i imagine. But also 'cult classic' or 'not mainstream' is i think is very exaggerated and not true. These are the most mainstream, and not at all 'cult', Ghostbusters and Indiana Jones were some of the biggest box office films ever and they are super recognisable brands. Even people who never watched them know them somewhat.
But then again i guess its over time films get left behind, Spielberg himself was sad that black-white films were often being ignored by younger people and he was saying this back in the 90s. Now it's justifiable but it is sad that because of our generation and the conditions we grow up in and the internet, a lot of us don't have the patience for older films. That would be fine if we had great creative/original modern classics to replace them, but we don't have many of those. But to each their own and I can't blame people for not wanting to sit through older films, its not everyones piece of cake.
All do respect, neither Indy or Ghostbusters are "cult classics". They are blockbuster movies that have been a big part of pop culture for decades. If gen Z isn't finding them yet, thats on them :)

These characters mean so much to me and have a very special place in my heart as do these movies and I know when the screen goes black on 5. I will probably smile and then cry my eyes out.

I feel you. I owned the box set of the first three growing up, and I can't tell you how many times I watched them. I loved the story so much I'm actually studying to be an archeologist right now!

I’m no archeologist but I became a world traveler bc Indy inspired me at a young age. Everywhere I go I seek out the “Indiana jones” spots, temples, ruins, etc. I also became a teacher to fund my travels. No nazis to fight but it’s close enough for me.

I honestly think the Dial of Destiny trailer should've been more like this. I'm inclined to believe that they made two...a main one and an alternate. What we eventually got was the alternate, the one with the more fun, upbeat vibe. Maybe they should've gone with something that celebrated the legacy of the character and the path he took to get to this final journey, in order to evoke a more emotional response in the viewers.
This is the best Indiana Jones edit I've seen. Very well done!

Bro. Thank you. Words can't explain the level of emotion and nostalgia your tribute gave me. I have a 6 year old son and he already knows much about Indiana Jones. Instead of guns, my son chooses the whip! I can't wait to show him this. Best movie franchise in the history of film making.
My father introduced me to this franchise when i was very young- This franchise inspired me to explore and collect weird stuff from forests and rivers.. A perfect tribute to the character and the man Harrison himself- can't wait for dial of destiny 🙌

Indiana Jones and the Monkey King
In 1985, Columbus wrote a script for a third Indiana Jones film entitled Indiana Jones and the Monkey King. Columbus' script included Indy taking a trip with his assistant Betsy to a secret city protected by soldier gorillas and governed by the evil Monkey King. According to Columbus, the script was written so that the story didn't appear too similar to the previous film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. However, at the end, Columbus' script was rejected and the film was finally released in 1989 under the title Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and directed by Steven Spielberg. In 2017, Columbus' script was adapted into a five-part live reading/audio drama on the Alcohollywood podcast.
