The most ironic part is that it would also be the best option Phil has to vastly improve his life. He has a crippling gambling addiction and severe untreated mental health issues. It's common sense why you don't play early access games, Phil.
1. Many early access games are never finished.
2. No one wants to wait a year or two (or more) to see the ending of a game.
3. It can be unpolished/unbalanced.
4. You're the play tester.
5. Progress isn't always saved, resulting in you having to start over.
Some of these may not apply to Hades 2 since they have already released the first one and they have a creative vision, but that doesn't mean people aren't cautious because they have been burned before.
My issue is you get used to how the game works in early access and by the time the full release comes around it functions differently. Kills the momentum you thought you had with the game.
No one is talking about Smash brothers? It sold 3 million copies between 2023/03/31 and 2024/03/31 alone with a total of 34 million sold and they will have 12 tournaments between june and december this year.
