On one hand, Generations has Blaze remembering being in Crisis City with Crisis being in Generations in the first place apparently making 06 canon. On the other, both Generations and Izuka himself have confirmed that Blaze is in fact from another dimension and not the future like Silver and Nega. Yeah...I can understand how fans would be confused by this.
But hey, what if 06 Blaze is in fact Rush Blaze? 06 doesn't actually confirm that she's from the future, does it? Maybe changing their worlds back to normal at the end of Rush messed with their heads a bit and caused them not to remember each other in 06...but then they remembered each other in Rush Adventure so that wouldn't work.
_Damn it SEGA. Just say 06 isn't canon already._

I think blaze was from the soul dimension and then got flung into sonic's future, and at the end of silver's story in 06 I don't think she went back to her dimension, I think she died. Which would mean when everything got erased she would have just woke up in her dimension with no memory... yeah it was a theory from the sega scourge

That would mean she was put into the Sol Dimension after absorbing Iblis. However, that doesn't work because she was missing in the time-space continuum created by Solaris's formation, which brought in Silver. Add the fact that during the fight, Eggman implies that Solaris also blends in other dimensions in this mess, more reason that she should've been here.
After seeing the scene, I'm pretty convinced she actually died in 06, and so that's why she isn't in Solaris's world. But then there's Sonic being dead too. The difference is that his spirit was there and felt by Elise, so he wasn't 100% dead and that's why his body is present, while Blaze's spirit disappeared after absorbing Iblis.
This whole story is fucked up!
@@bouteilledeau1463 there's a very well written fanfic called "Ashes, Ashes, it all Burns Down" it fills in the gaps and delves deeper into Blaze's character and it has more Mephiles witch is never a bad thing (for us fans)
Blaze was literally my favorite Sonic character, and I hated the amount of care and attention she got after the Rush duology. She was done dirty, and it makes me sad that she might not get spotlight any time soon…or ever.
Really enjoyed this video mate!! Blaze is such an awesome character, she's basically Sonic and Knuckles combined but even better. I will always remember playing Rush, a random purchase and loved it to bits

I love Blaze, she is my favourite character after Shadow.
Anyway, I think she was born in another dimension, but a day Sol Emeralds teleported her in Sonic's dimension in Silver's future. After all events has been deleted, she return in her dimension and after there are rush and rush adventure. In Generations i think that after all events of Sonic 06 have been deleted, they are going in the white space and after the 2 Sonics restored crisis city, every one remember sonic 06's events.
Of course this is just a theory

You made better and more understandable lore in 13 minutes than Sonic team could in a decade. How have they not hired you???
Blaze is not only a princess, but she's got a confirmed ancestry who were guarding the Jeweled Scepter over generations.
On top of that, her fire powers are something she was born with, and her duty as guardian of the Sol Emeralds was inherited as part of her position as Princess.
All of that is to say that no matter which game happened first, Blaze had to have been born in the Sol dimension in order for all of this to be true.
Also, minor correction, but Blaze also mentions her acrophobia in the first Rush game, it wasn't exclusive to SRA.
I was once invested in writing a fanfic with the intention of bridging the massive plot hole between Sonic '06 and the Rush games when it came to Blaze's involvement. My idea was basically what you said starting at 4:32: that '06 took place first, Blaze being native to Sonic's future and just so happening to be of royal blood (hence both her outfit and her ability to seal Iblis within herself, however temporarily), and her passing knowledge of the "blue hedgehog" being attributed to hearing children's stories about Sonic as he likely would've been a legend at that point in time (or you could chalk it up to a mistranslation of the original Japanese, where "blue" and "green" are sort of grouped together, and "green" can mean "inexperienced" in Japanese just as it does in English, meaning the "green hedgehog" Blaze was thinking of was actually Silver all along). Blaze's sacrifice at the end of Silver's story took her into the Sol Dimension, where she would have been accepted as both a princess and the Guardian of the Sol Emeralds through some contrivances that I planned to explain.
However, after re-watching the Sonic '06 cutscenes, I realized there was a fatal flaw in this logic that nobody else ever seemed to bring up: In Sonic Rush, Blaze clearly heard of the Chaos Emeralds for the first time during her meeting with Knuckles, but in Sonic '06, not only did she already know of them, but she also told Silver how to use them. In addition, I now know from re-watching Sonic Rush cutscenes that Blaze clearly didn't recognize Sonic's name in that game despite Silver flat-out mentioning it to her in Sonic '06, and although Blaze and Sonic's lack of interaction with each other in '06 could easily be explained away if that was their first meeting, Blaze later acting so standoffish toward the guy whom she should recognize from when she and Silver worked together with him, is less explainable. These contradictions could be resolved through the oh-so-convenient explanation of "amnesia" upon Blaze's entry into the Sol Dimension, but I actually wanted Blaze to remember the events of '06. But since there didn't seem to be anywhere for Blaze's events in '06 to logically take place other than after Sonic Rush, which, of course, ran contrary to the idea that started my whole project, I scrapped it.
I'm glad to have found a video where all of Blaze's major lore points are so succinctly summarized. I've looked everywhere for physical evidence of that quote at 4:57, but this is the only place I've found it. Though, in keeping with the conclusion I reached above, I have to disagree with your theory that it's only a recently restored memory, as I prefer to keep amnesia out of the picture. (Plus, if she just got those memories restored, shouldn't she be reeling with all the new information she has? That she's not native to the Sol Dimension? That she was close friends with Silver before they apparently met for the first time in Colors DS?)
I believe that the most airtight explanation, taking everything in the games as gospel, is that Blaze is native to the Sol Dimension, ventured to the future of Sonic’s dimension in spite of her responsibilities as both a princess and Guardian of the Sol Emeralds, struck up a friendship with Silver, and resolved to save his world from the Flames of Disaster, even daring to sacrifice her own life to do so, which, luckily, was not the end of her, and she made it back to the Sol Dimension to resume her responsibilities in time for Sonic Rush Adventure to occur. (I think it's highly unlikely that Rush Adventure took place before ’06, as Blaze would've been more familiar with Sonic by then, thus making her vague recollections of the “blue hedgehog” in ’06 not make much sense.) This is convoluted as heck and in dire need of fleshing out, but to quote Sherlock Holmes, "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, HOWEVER IMPROBABLE, must be the truth."
I want to make a correction to the "airtight explanation" of the last paragraph. Since reviewing the cutscenes of Sonic Rush Adventure, I now believe that it's extremely likely that SRA takes place not long after Sonic Rush, since the Final Story of SRA makes it clear that the words of the Eggmen from the Final Story of Sonic Rush are still fresh in Blaze's memory. Therefore, Sonic '06 probably takes place after SRA, but for Blaze to not immediately think of Sonic when the "blue hedgehog" is mentioned, she would have to have spent an exorbitant amount of time without meeting Sonic after SRA, either within her own world or within Sonic's future. We don't know how long she spent hanging out with Silver, only that it was long enough for her to become familiar enough with him to know that he gets insecure when he's alone. It's possible that entire years went by, and as a bit of leeway, the characters' ages haven't been stated since Sonic Heroes's instruction manual iirc, so while Blaze looks the same, it's possible that she could be a fair bit older than she was in Sonic Rush.

Honestly I just consider 06 as a split dimension where Blaze is from the future. But for the mainline games only the Rush games are canon
I don't understand why they keep trying to rip things from the rush series and give them to Silver. 06 can't happen before because Blaze is a princess who was born and raised in her kingdom. And Eggman Nega refers to Blaze's world as his world as well, so it doesn't make sense for him to be from the future. Why cant they just make new allies and enemies for Silver to have?
Either they were rushed or they just want Blaze in the game so they shoehorned her in.
Blaze was a good addition to 06. I just believe rush took place after 06, or that rush is spinoff and not canon. Who cares about her messed up story at this point just believe her rush story and just accept she was in 06.

I think 06 came first before Rush, after the reset in 06, that would explain why Sonic does not know Blaze. As for Blaze being friends with Silver, yeah she probably remembered it thanks to Generations (even tho technically she is the Blaze from Rush, she does remember 06 now) and Silver literally only exists because he was saved or brought over to present day in Generations

It would be nice to have Sonaze finally confirmed. After all, Blaze was created after Tiara boobowski, a princess and guardian of 7 rings who was suppoed to be Sonics love interest, while she fights with Amy who is Sonics fangirl.
One of the members of Sonic team is even a sonaze shipper and another answered the question, with who would Sonic realisticly end in an relationship, the Sonic Team member said, the most realistic would be Blaze. Also the ending of Sonic Rush is pretty much telling. Sonic olding Blazes hands TOO LONG, while putting another hand on hers, cause he want to not let her go and she either. And the scene in the spinoff Dark knight i should not tell more, cause everybody knows about it.

@@isiahbanks147 Didnt you play both Rush games? In Rush Adventure Tails created a portal between two dimension with the power of emeralds, so they can without problem visit each other all the time. But even without the Portal, both Emeralds are calling for each othery feeling the hosts desire.

Silver is 200 years from Sonics future and Blaze is from the other Dimention, 200 years in the past.
