This is a very simple & cheap, yet ingenious that allows for a recessed pedal tray for your trolling motor which is vastly important in terms of improving someone's quality of fishing! This mod is in the Alumacraft Playlist. Wait for more boat building content to come through the Tiny Boat Nation as this Alumacraft nears completion as the best V-hull mod that I've done to this date!

*This makes my old motor look like a toy **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it's well built. I haven't had it on the water yet, but I'm very sure it will perform just fine.*

I guess I am "that guy" that is OCD'd enough to notice that your carpet for the trolling motor pedal tray is running in the wrong direction per your other deck carpeting.
This is a GREAT idea though, and saves a LOT of cash!
    Thanks for sharing.

That was absolutely genius. I love how people can figure out things like this. I love that you put it on the internet to share with everyone. Don't forget you also need to put a drain hose in the bottom of the pan. Look forward to your next video.

I'm doing this very mod right now. Just wanted to check back for a reference. The Wilton tray, like the one being used is 2 1/2" deep. Search on Amazon for a 9" X 13" X 4" deep cake pan. It was a little over $25.00, that's what I'm using. Still not 100% level with the flooring, but it's better. Either way, you can't go wrong. I still have the 2.5" Wilton pan in case I don't like the 4" pan.

@@TinyBoatNation I'm 62 and to be honest, I don't know how to link anything. If you'll do an Amazon search for "Fat Daddio'" 9" X 13" X 4" cake pan, part # POB-9134 you'll find it. I would love show off my work, just don't know how? I installed some Sea Deck type flooring today!

Great video. I cant see myself paying that kind of money for a metal tub. Glad you also mentioned the "Metal Recessed Dryer Vent Box", looks really interesting, and cheap. I have 2 boats Im going to install a tray on this spring, and buying the High dollar version just is not acceptable. Another option Im looking at are Stem table trays. There stainless very strong and come in serveral different sizes and depths.

Great mod, that's what I like about this channel. A hillbilly jerry rig set up (I mean that in the best possible way) but looks good and the price is right . I am getting great ideas from your channel. I am trying to come up with plans to mod out my boat, multi species as I also fish salmon and crab/bottom fish in the salt. And its an odd boat. Its an old Harborcraft SK 14 foot but with a 78 inch beam. Its a square with a point. Keep up the great work and can't wait to see where you take the channel.

1st I wish I could start a CZcams channel but I follow you instead. So a problem with cutting a hole in my ProCraft floor is I'm not sure I'd like it, and it seems like it would be better with a angle up and have it floor mounted rather than flush in floor but yeah, you'd trip on it. But I hate the idea of putting a hole in my deck. But cake pan is good idea for cheaper use.
