    This is what CZcams Shorts was made for, not a 10 minute video. Thank you, Sir!!

      Oh my days, I was just thinking of this. Before this I had watched a 8 minute tutorial and learned pretty much nothing. This short taught me a lot more in fraction of that time haha

    In my university days we have to do this on film 😅 it was so expensive because it was so hard to get on the first try and we didn't even know if we got it until we developed the film ourselves 😅

    I think that starting at higher shutter speed helps a lot... I started with 1/160 for example and it was a good idea. Moreover I think AF continuous is good enough on any modern camera, and It makes things so much easier! First time I tried panning I was using the canon EF 80-200 mm from 1992 on a 5d Mark II from 2008... Therefore any modern camera could make it in af I think!

    The shutter speed used is highly dependent on the focal length be used as well. Takes a lot of practice but once you get the combination dialed in the results are well worth it

    I usually love your content, but spraying and praying isn't exactly learning. Instead, what you can do is set your shutter according to the speed of your subject, ie. 1/80 for a car moving about 60kmh. The shutter speed is always going to depend on the speed of the subject and the focal distance (wider focal distances need less SS to freeze the action). I suggest panning during the day to get the hang of it before moving to night time. MF takes a lot of skill for this kind of photography, so I also recommend starting out with continuous AF tracking. Follow the subject as it moves and take the picture when you're ready.
    A good way to know you've taken a good shot is how sharp letters and numbers are

    DON'T CLOSE the aperture unless you really have to. Blur will enhance the panned background 😉

    • @pierreben4211
      @pierreben4211 Před rokem

      don't agree. If the speed is enough low you will get focused stripes which is really beautiful

    • @niklasclaro9793
      @niklasclaro9793 Před rokem

      It's on f11 because you are zone focusing (the higher your f-number, the bigger your focus zone geht's).
      You can't realy pre focus a moving Objekt with a lower f-stop and the Auto focus is also gonna struggle.
      ☝️🤓

      Well when going as low as 1/15 on shutter speed and has high as 12800 on iso like he shows its not so improbable to make it to f/11
