Ok Alexander
I shared some time with Ochoro Ayoki in 1968 when we as American students from Harlem took a trip to Africa. Mr. Ayoki accompanied us and was a teacher and guide.
***The Luo is an ethnic group with one of the most preserved cultures in all of the African continent
Am a luo from Kenya 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
Luo peoples are not just one ethnic group, they're a group of closely related languages that speak similar dialects. They're also western Nilotic so it should be no surprise that they are originally from Sudan, Nilotic people are the backbone of the Nile Valley cultures
Congratulations. Much appreciated. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us.👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Glad you enjoyed the video.
Which African country(s) have you been to so far?
Hello Brothers and Systers. Unfortunately, I do not know in person no one African Country. But I intend to know as soon as possible. I have many friends and colleagues in Uganda, Nigeria and Angola. The difficult is that airline tickets from Brazil to the African Continent are extremely expensive...But I am getting organized here and one day I will visit the Land of my Ancestors. Ubuntu. 🤝🏿
Bigger tribe we called them wajaluo in my village the my beautiful jirani I'm kuria kurya from Mara Tanzania
Since the theme here wal Luo people,I dont mind tranlating to you that swahili word "usijali" Luos would say "kikidew" such a simple language...proud Luo here tracing roots all the way from Bar el Gazel in Sudan to Homa Bay,Kenya current location
Watching this reminds me of my history lessons. This version paints a better visual picture.
Taking you back to your history days😂.
Hoping to meet some next week!

Bruh u forgot the anyuak luo
Of Ethiopia
I’m anyuak by the way
He didn’t, he mentioned them.
He did
Are Anuak people Luo?? I'm Cushitic so idk
@@NoRockinMansLand yes they are brother
When I look at the people l think to myself anyone of them could be a direct family member.
You also forgot other groups of Lou people who have similar cultures and linguistic similarities with them: the Dinka and the Nuer ethnic groups who are still living in the original home of Lou people in South Sudan
it is a Luo group not lou group plz
Dinka and Nuer are not Luo/Lwo but live along side Lwo/Luo.
But the Dinkas and the Nuers are not part of us(the Luo), some say that they are originated from western African regions entering Sudan they intermarried with the Furs(current Darfur region in western Sudan) making their way through the River Nile to current South Sudan 🇸🇸...
Luo ethio🎉
❤
I'm very overwhelmed and disappointed to read Wikipedia defining Tutsi ethnic group as a Bantou ethnic group instead Nilotic ethnic group.
Besides, in a this CZcams documentary they localized or identified
"Luo-Nilotic ethnic group" in great lakes region or countries; South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, DRCongo, but not in Rwanda...
They might be mistaken, if so it's time for them to correct it.
Otherwise, they are falsifying the truth and the history of Africa.
However, if my notice is false I wish I be fixed by the historians, sociologists and anthropologists who taught me the African ethnic groups mostly the great lakes' region and the DRCongo peoples.
East Africans also don't glorify white and light skin women like many West African and "black" American Men who express their preference and glorify light skin or white women,,,that creates unique challenges for us brown skin American women to find romantic partner
This is true due to a high amount of East African men having similar looks and cultures that don’t have a more aggressive standpoint more likely we also stick to our own territories many African American women can do well travelling to the east . Nilotic Cushitic and Bantu all In one
My Luo wife chose a European…
Stoppppp the capppp.....if you ain't from here then you don't know
Yes, I'm east African caramel skintone and I love all women of African descent. We don't discriminate
@@NoRockinMansLand are you Ethiopian

Somali tribe is the largest and most powerful in Africa 🇸🇴🔥
Somalis? Are Somalis a clan within the Luos? This discussion is about Luos! How are Somalis fitting in?
Somali only knows for criminal
@@georgeodhiambo598 they are definitely large but not powerful 😂😂
That's not true bro
As a Luo I think Somalis are great people, I worked in Mogadishu for some years, loved my stay.
Hamites
Hamites are the Kalenjins,
lango people not luo though they borrow most of the luo language
@
The African Script Langi are not Luo/Lwo, they are Ateker like Karamojong, Kumam, Teso etc.
Yes we know their origin is Ateker... Don't they speak now? Ain't they then Luo by assimilation and intermarriage just like many others that have become Luo?
@@Okwash1 Not really, they still speak part Lwo/Luo part Ateker and all their clans are Ateker so it is not lost as people think. Everything thing is in order. Language does not define ethnicity, does it? Some people are Lwo and do not speak Lwo.
