- Hi Guys, so there are my top tips on what to pack in your hospital bag and what I am packing in my hospital bag for baby number 3! I hope you like these ideas on what to pack for you, baby and your partner.
WHAT TO PACK CHECKLIST:
ESSENTIALS:
- Hospital notes, baby notes, birth plan
- Car Park change (also good for vending machines!)
- Hynosis on phone if you are doing hypnobirthing and wireless headphones
- Camera and charger
- Phone and charger
- Petrol in the car
FOR BABY:
- 3 to 4 Baby Sleepsuits / outifts
- 4 Vest
- Muslin Squares
- Baby Hat
- Newborn Nappies / Diapers
- Water Wipes (or cotton wool and water)
- Cellular Blanket (or one suitable for the season you give birth in)
- Swaddle Blanket
- Barrier Cream Sample
- Carseat ready to use and installed in the car
- Formula and bottles if you don't want to breastfeed
FOR YOU (THE MUM):
- Sleepwear (extra pyjamas)
- Socks or Slippers
- You may want a thin robe
- Going home outfit e.g. joggers and a nursing top (comfy clothes!)
- Lucozade Glucose Tablets
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Unscented deoderant
- Nursing Bra and Breast Pads
- Disposable Briefs and Maternity Pads
- Black Underwear - comfortable for after birth
- Vaseline or Lip Balm
- Hair Ties
- Toiletries Bag with essential skincare, body wash and make up
- Paracetemol / Ibuprofen for after birth pain
PARTNER:
- Snacks and Drinks
- Paracetemol
- Download Contraction Timing App
- Money / Change
- They may want to pack their own change of clothes

Watching this while am having a sleepless night... My back is aching and am waiting for my big miracle in 5 weeks time. Praying for all babies born during this Corona pandemic. God's going to protect us and our babies ❤️

I found out I am pregnant on Saturday, 6 weeks on :) My partner and I were undergoing fertility treatment so it is a HUGE surprise :)
i'm 34 weeks 🙄 sooooo over being pregnant. and its my first pregnancy
kween x lolz I’m almost 33 weeks, it’s going too fast for me i don’t feel prepared. Having this baby after 14 years of trying, fertility treatments and spending thousands. I’m so grateful, but for me it’s just going too fast. I just don’t feel prepared 🤷🏻♀️, confused all over the place. And lazy as a slug lolz.

Never would have thought of that and making sure that the car has gas. Things no one ever includes in their videos but they will tell you the brand name of the 50 pillows they're putting in their Louis Vuitton 😂
We are lucky the hospitals near us don’t charge for parking 👍

Of all the what’s in my hospital bag videos. Your video is the best. Very simple not excessive and over packing like those videos out there. I’m using yours an example to I pack mine. Super helpful👍🏼
If you in another country I guess but in America all you need is an outfit for you to go home in and outfit for the baby to go home in and a car seat literally everything else is provided unless you want the baby in its own clothes instead of hospital onesies

Hey everyone, I’m also due in July as well!!! First time mom to a baby boy, I’m currently 32 weeks pregnant, my cervix is already shortening at 1.25cm and I’m currently on bed rest, rebuking preterm labor in the name of Jesus, Amen. Praying that everyone have a healthy baby and delivery with speedy recovery 🥰

I'm 38 weeks pregnant and I just packed my bag and posted my "what's in my hospital bag" today too! (it's my second baby too so I learned a lot my first time!)love the gray and yellow blanket--so adorable!
I have watched this when I was pregnant with my first boy and here I am back making sure I got everything for my second boys arrival :)
Great overview...straight to the point. I had to pack more because I was in and out of the hospital during my pregnancy. So yes, I was one of those people who packed the house due to the time I spent in the hospital.
It has been a pleasure following you during this pregnancy. I am now 39weeks and 3days and just waiting for my princess to arrive. It's so much stuff. In the US you don't have to bring half of this stuff but then they charge your insurance $35,000

Have always packed light bags in my last two pregnancies and ended up spending 7 days in hospital. This time I'm packing my whole house. Hopefully it just be two days this time. Love your hospital bag.

The carry on luggage as a hospital bag is just genius!!! I thought packing two gym bags was cost effective but this makes so much more sense🙌🏼

I'm here to thank you for the video, my baby is now 19 months only year ago I didn't have a clue what to do after I had a baby I was so scared and nervous I found your video and I felt a lot better to have your advice and some idea for what to bring and what not. 37 weeks pregnant and here we are lol. 3rd time round but it doesn't hurt to check for some stuff I might not know I need.

I subscribed this channel after watching this video - parking change and normal luggage case for the hospital both amazingly practical and organised.
About patrol.. my stepmom actually felt so good during labour she drove herself to hospital, with my father as passenger, AND stopped at gas station, filled tank up, went to pay for the patrol and continued on, to give birth to my little brother :) And as calming as it seems to sound, even she thanked god for epidural later...
This was the exact swift kick in the bum I needed to finally pack my hospital bag. So helpful and relieved I still have some time (35 weeks tomorrow) hopefully to order a few bits!

This is really comprehensive information, Em - I especially like the idea of packing a partner bag with snacks and things, and the exact change for the car park at the hospital. I would not have thought of that.

I watched this video so many times during my pregnancy last year. Somehow it helped me to relax. 🤰🏻💙
During my first pregnancy I watched many pregnancy essential videos and took so much stuff to the hospital, only to find out that they provide you with literally everything in that suitcase here in Germany. I dint have to use a single thing I took for the baby until the day we brought him home. Also there were mesh underwears and heavy duty pads for the mothers. Except of course toiletries and phone chargers and pj's etc. But I still watch these videos cuz it's so organised and makes me calm 😊

Thank you u just helped me back the babies bag for the hospital and now I know what to pack in my bag I’m 32 weeks and already having contractions they stopped my contractions 2 times already this my 3 rd baby and I was never prepared when I went in to labor so thanks for the help may God bless you abundantly
I bought everything from Next as well. The quality of their clothing is really good!!
Small hair brush, dry shampoo...maybe extra throw for hubby or you...I find hospital blanket to thin...but everything else you packed is pretty spot on :) giving birth is such a amazing experience, which I wish people would embrace more

I was sweating so much after giving birth! Didn’t need more than the thin hospital blanket and I stayed naked underneath the whole time until we got ready the check out two days later! My husband said the postpartum room was freezing but I don’t recall being cold at all lol

As a nursing assitant in a maternity ward I HATE when people bring everything in their house but the kitchen sink...especially when they lay it all on the bed right after birthing it makes it hard to get around them and do the caring and monitoring we need to do.

Great video. Just want to share that t shirts that go to the waist and button up pajama works great for umbilical cord care and quick diaper changes.
