    I love your approach of doing several sketches with increasing detail. I tend to think too much in traditional painting/drawing where you don't really get that versatility.

    • @irlanderillustrations7517
      @irlanderillustrations7517  Před 8 měsíci +1

      yeah in traditional comics as well we tend to use colored pencils for the rough sketches eventually going into normal pencils and inks haha so I guess I kind of brought that mentality into digital.

    I love this style. It reminds me of the (European) comics I read as a kid, like Tintin and January Jones. Wonderful!
    There is just one thing that didn't make sense to me and that's the stone pavements. If they were flat stones, they wouldn't overlap like they do.
    But hey, that's just nitpicking. Love it!

    Awesome work. In your videos you always surprise me with yet another layer of line work. In this one I thought you were doing the final black lines but then you went ahead and redrew the whole thing again! I’m just learning, why do you decide to do a complete redraw and not just edit what really nice work you already did? Also what brush do you use for the final line? And do you make sure there are no gaps so you can paint bucket?

    • @irlanderillustrations7517
      @irlanderillustrations7517  Před 6 měsíci

      sometimes i am just unhappy with how the linework turns out haha so i redo the whole thing. its just me being a perfectionist unfortunately. final line i use the technical pen brush. and yup i try to make sure theres no gaps. although sometimes i do have to paint manually when i do find gaps :)

    This is amazing. I need to learn how to do lighting the way you do it. I currently pick existing colors and change the values/saturation slightly for shadows and highlights, but I want to learn to do it this way. How do you get Procreate to record a 15 min. video at higher quality? Mine does 30 seconds or 5 mins and makes a low quality, ugly video. Love your art style and lighting. Thanks!
