Imagine Anime studios spending hours drawing these just to make a 5 seconds walking scene.
🤣😭. But most of the anime scenary are visited many times
@@yoshaosaxofonista yea,but they are drawn in multiple differnt angles
My take on this is that it's a labor of love for background/landscape artist, and worth it in the long-term if it makes the specific animation standout. Just think about the iconic Hokage Rushmore from Naruto! ☝🏾
its 3d renders 95% of the time
@@kolkuma these days at least
Wish there were more videos are traditional environmental work. This is a skill onto it self and sadly it's fading. This work is inspiring thank you for sharing.
Really glad you like it 🥰
The Dedication, The Details, The Colours , The Methods used, I like everything about this work! Speechless to praise the work!
Truly Inspiring! 👏😍
your artstyle is incredible I cant even keep up lol
I like how you work the environment one subject at a time. A lot of artist like to lay down all the shaped first. I think working bit by bit allows for more creative freedom and accuracy in perspective drawing
Whenever I watches speed paints I keep learning new things
This has to be my favorite piece from you! This looks exactly like Japan and somewhere I’ve been! Incredible job, this must have been so daunting!
Thank you much, this is an amazing feedback I'm so happyyyy ✨
Watching the colors come together has got my heart throbbing. Love it
Really nice artwork, thanks for the timelapse ! And good music too^^
Oh man, videos like these make me want to draw so bad, but I have to study for exams 😭 I'm also a background artist, so this really helped a lot with seeing new techniques + other people's process! Ahhh I really want to draw!!
I hope you still draw :)
I am just starting to learn how to draw backgrounds for my story, thank you for sharing your process!
Glad it was helpful!
Art like these inspired me to do background, my only problem is that perspective heavy backgrounds are tedious
I love the trick for the cast shadows in the bikes and poles! Drawing over the original and then stretching them out to match the light direction. Awesome work!
Thank you! Cheers!
I can't help but leave a comment 😳 I've been searching for a tutorial like this, one that deals with making a line art of the scene before coloring it, and here is is. This video. Thank you sooo much 😍😍😍😍
Glad it helped ☺️
This was the first video that introduced me to your channel. I love all the things you do much
Happy to have you here 😊😊
Even their thumbnails look so much better than my finished product
Lol don't beat yourself up!
I just can say to you that this is absolutely beautiful. Especially I loved the color palette with that evening setting. Great job
Thank you 🥰
@@Ariabba thank you too for the inspiration
Even your thumbnails are pieces of art dayum this is beautiful 🤯
Thank you 🥰
Shows how much effort it takes to create a good quality anime
Such great work, I love everything, from color to perspective! Waay better than I ever hoped for!
Seeing the colouring is so stunning..
The hardest part is being able to draw out what I imagine 😂 You did great.
This is definitely one of your best works❤ the sketch and color palette are absolutely amazing.
Will you do more videos and tutorials like this one plz????
I absolutely will 😌
videos like this really inspires me to sell my drawing tablet. thank you.
What do you mean?
@@Ariabba lol it's another way of saying your skills are amazing.
@@monkeyinthezoo398 thanks XD I appreciate it!
Hey, I am amazed at your artstyle! I can’t keep up!
Thank you so much 😀
Please don't stop posting your content is amazing
I love your art style. Inspired 🥰🤗😘💜✨
Wow! Such a marvellous atmosphere!
It's incredible artwork!
thank you :)
Honestly so inspiring, been in an artblock (everything block) this helps so thank you :)
Lovely! I really need to try doing thumbnails myself
I've been dipping my toes into doing background/environmental art and.. wow. It's both easier and harder than it looks - the dedication it takes for one piece is something I have never given for a character piece. This is absolutely stunning! It gives me some great insight on how I can improve my own work :) Thanks!
Glad to hear this inspired someone else!
oh man this is so amazing, nice job
I NEED to learn how to draw like this
Thanks for the guide, i was making huge mistake that starts painting the objects before shading
Glad I could help!
You are in another level, mate! So espectacular!
Thank you so much!
your art is incredible love it😍😍😍
Magic
The background is absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!!
UURGH KEEP DOING MORE 😍😍😍😍 You gained a fan!
Very nice! Thank you for the upload.
incredible, very good!!!!😀😀👏👏
Great details and colors, beautiful !
oh my god that was soo perfect !!😍😍
Damn, thats badass
this was amazing to watch
hey love your art. Im try to learn inviroment art myself. what exactly did you add at the beginning to make it this pink/purple? was it a gradient map/overlay?
This is so motivating and amazing! just wondering, do you use references or any sort of photo with this? or it is completely drawn from imagination?
I make a full moodboard of references before the drawing!
Lovely work as always. Love watching your videos and tutorials. Could you please do video on on how to use the perspective guides in procreate 🙏🏽😊
I'll try to remember 😬😬
This is absolutely stunning, definitely subbing 😍 but may I ask, is the bend in the light post top centre meant to be in front of the roof?
Great! Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
Happy to help! Feel free to provide any feedback or request something specific!
Really love your work ! Will you make a video about perspective ? Thank you ! 🌼
Sure at some point I will ☺️
@@Ariabba Thank you ! Your videos are really helful :)
God this is so beautiful and well done!
Thank you!
Great!
love it!
this is beautiful
do you livestream on anything? btw I love the art, it feels so correct-- idk how to describe it
10/10 would kiss your artstyle
thank you so much! I'll probably stream on this channel in the future
MASTERPIECE!
Thank you ❤️
KEREN ❤😍
very underated i wish i could do that
❤️❤️❤️❤️ beautiful 🔥🔥🔥
this piece is amazing i was wondering how to manage to get your perspective line so straight is it just practice?
It's both practice and tooling, Procreate has a built in Perspective tool that is really really helpful
Wow! It's amazing. What advice would you give for improving your line art?
Doing warmups as I explain in the last video :)
So amazing! I wish I can draw using this technique in the future as well! I have watched your video on how to draw in greyscale first then adding the colours, but it is still overwhelming to a beginner like me. Maybe if i start in small simple backgrounds first. Anyway, you’re awesome and please do more videos! Love from a Filipino in UK
Don't worry I know it seems overwhelming for a beginner! I'll think about a beginner step video 😊
This is absolutely breathtaking!! I love the color palette, shadows and the calm ambience this piece brings that is exactly reminiscent to Japan!! Just as a question, what canvas size is this? your lines and even the small details are super clear even when tiny! :0
Thank you so much! This is actually a big canvas cause I wanted to print a poster out if it. So I painted with a canvas 6k px wide
@@Ariabba this was amazing! And plz can you tell me what brushes you used and which software do u use?
@@coolmemes7565 Sure, I used Procreate and the bruushes are all default, I mainly used the round brush in the painting folder
Such beautiful artwork! 🤩 And these colours... 🥰 Thank you for sharing such a process video with us!! 🤩🙏 Btw, how many layers did you use for this piece? While I was watching your video, this question popped up in my head! 😁
Thank you so much 😊 It was about 20 layers!
We love it!
The scene just looks mesmerizing love itt!!! I’m having trouble understanding though do you completely remove the line art by the end or do you work on top of the line art throughout?
I always keep the line and I paint on top of some parts, some little parts of the line i don't even bother covering, and I just keep them 😊
Muito bom! Quanto tempo você demora para fazer cenários assim?
It was about a week of work 😃
how do you make the perfect straight lines i can't make it😭😭
You're honestly such an underrated artist. I've been learning so much about environment design and painting from you. Thank you and keep up the great work!
P.S. If you like Illegal Jazz Brunch, you should check out the band Covet. Specifically their song "Shibuya".
Peace!
Thank you so much and happy to help 😊😊 and thanks for the advice!
How on earth did you get those gorgeous bicycle shadows?
mostly by copying the silhouettes of the bicycles and then stretching them out :)
damn this is awesome
Thank you!
I really wish I could do this :(
It's so hard and confusing for my little beginner artist brain.
You'd think at least I'd be able to draw the terrain, yeah? NOPE.
one step at the time!
Wow, beautiful painting, beautiful mathrock in the background. This is triggering me in all sorts of ways..
sir this painting is absolutely awesome honestly! Fell for it. I wanted to ask----is such a painting possible on paper? : )
Of course it is, depending on the medium you can make a sketch in order to decide what technique to use. For example with water colour you might want to study how to leave the white space for the light beforehand
@@Ariabba thank you so much for letting me know. I will be studying tonight 🙂🙃🙂🙃🌺✨
Thank you really
Loved your video DEEPLY 🙂
wow how long did it take you to do from start to finish?
This is incredible ! You are so talented
thank you :)
Que pasada 👍🏼
Wooowww
สวย beautiful
This is absolutely amazing! 😍 What's the software you are using?
this is Procreate on the iPad Pro
Sacado!
You Are AMAZING!!!
How much time did you spent to draw this?
And which graphics tablet are you using?
this is roughly a week of work, I used the iPad Pro with Procreate
@@Ariabba Ohhh, you're so hardworking! I appreciate it!
This painting is way cool! How long did it take you to make?
Thank you so much! It took me around a week 😊
Do you have full tutorial courses
I’m working on it in between pauses, I’ll keep you posted once they are available!
Any tips for beginners wanting to start drawing backgrounds? I'm clueless where to start
Yeah, I would take a lot of photos of environments or movies shots that you like and study them and repaint them!
increble the drawing
Thank you so much!
I died.
Cause of death: straight lines and color understanding
what brush did you use for the line art?
remarkable...
this is really cool! i love the environment. how long have you been drawing for, and how long did this take you?
thank you so much, I'm glad you like it. I've been drawing on and off for the past 15 years but I never took it seriously until 5 years ago. This painting took me a whole week of work!
hii! i lovee this. can you please give me book recommendations for drawing/painting digital landscape art? thank you in advance!
I really really recommend "color and light" from James Gurney!
@@Ariabba Thank you so much!
Omggggggg!!!!!!!!!
how do you get those straight lines when you do your line art
in Procreate you can set up the perspective with the drawing assistant tool and tick the option where your lines now follow the guide
How many layers did you use? Did you keep layers for the foreground, midground and back??
Also what brushes did you use?
It was a lot of layers, like 20. But I end up merging into a few going forward, layers count it's not that relevant it really depends how's your work process and what you're comfortable with.
The brush I used are the default Procreate brushes: round brush, airbrush and the 6b pencil!
@@AriabbaMay I ask how you break up your layers?
@@Shira17Yuki Oh I'm not very well organized! This one has, background colours on one, then the linework, then the shadows, then the blue skylight, then another layer for the details, then one for texture and another one for the overlay effect on top for example
Which softwares do you use??
It's "Procreate" brother only present in I pad. And pocket version of procreate available for I phones.
was you at first painting under that mood purple layer you started with or over it
I painted initially underneath the linework and I started covering it towards the end.
what brushes do you use? huhu you are so good!
@@Ariabba how about for the sketching? sorry i have so many questions kinda new to art
How many hours did it take for you to finish this? :O it's so beautiful i love it so much
A lot of hours! It took me a whole week 😊
Can I ask how old are you and how long did it take you to get this good? Also are you a savant or something?
I'm now 32 and It took me 2-3 Years of very concentrated effort to get to this level!
@@Ariabba You are very gifted!
@@yingle6027 thank you! I appreciate it :)
@@Ariabba Damn you are too young! I wish you best for your work.
Hi at 4:04, after you paint in the overall gradient. What type of layer do you use to paint on top of it? Is it overlay or just normal? I'm having trouble matching objects color with overall painting color. Thank you
It depends on what I'm doing! If I am able to eyeball the colour I want I just use a normal layer otherwise I take advantage of the blending modes
