The proximity of the two outsiders Hi Royal in second, and Galeron in fourth tells me that either the ground was a major factor, or some of the horses behind just didn't produce their true running. Cannot take anything away from the winner though.
Was on galeron at 150/1. Thought he might step forward and sneak a place. Proved to be correct. Royal Scotsman awful trip yet still finished well. Just think the ballydoyle horses aren’t that good.

They have to handle all grounds. Most Frankel's don't seem to mind the soft. I was on at 8/1.
Yes, the soft ground does work against the fastest horses and levels things up, but that's the way it goes. You account for the weather.
