- Want to play the uglystick?? Well, in this small performance you don't really hear the second tap of the bow stick in my hand... but... the 2-2-1 beat is there!! You can hear it when I hit the upper paint top can. Also the boot and its "thump" doesn't really come out on this camera microphone, but enough excuses!!!....this is the ugli-stick to Barney's Reel. I do this with students in LTTA as well as Seniors at the homes I play at.. They love it. Hope you enjoy it and drop me a line (mike_madigan@yahoo.com). Oh and now you can check my lesson TWO in another You Tube...I wear my Sunday-best pants there too!! lol P.S Maggie in the video was our beautiful therapy dog who sadly passed away at age 6. She was a dedicated Saturday afternoon special dog at Bellingham Nursing Home and did this for four years! God luv her! P.S.Thanks to Bugs for allowing me to uglystick to his fine playing.

Yes me son, if someone looked in through me window I dare say they'd knock on it and ask to come in. Then I'd give them a lesson, and invite them to have a cup of Tetley tea and a lassie bun....and of course sit by the stove and have a chat fer a while. That's Newfounfdland fer you, eh b'y? How do you make the holes in the bottle caps? I tried punching holes with a spike but they're too small and the cap deforms. Then I tried drilling and it did a better job but oh boy what a nuisance as they spin like little blades if you're not careful.

@jvangurp ...well, it's tough. Make a hole the width of the bottle cap in a plank of wood...maybe about an inch thick.. Place cap in hole then drill...yes so ya don't tear yer fingers off, me son!!! hahah I use washers and only use bottle caps at the end of each screw...looks good and less work!!! Hope this helps.
