Woke upright in the middle of the night.
Went for a bite, turned on the kitchen light,
Lost appetite at the sight of the fright.
Cockroaches unite, a plight left and right
They flee from the room in which they were strewn
I swat with my broom while afume, their doom.
But to my gloom, too fast, roaches zoom.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
So amassed, so vast, and oh so fast!
Outcasts who outlast a nuclear bomb blast.
What’s the forecast for which this horror lasts?
They’ve thrashed and trashed, my home. I'm aghast!
If I slack from the whacks they’ll just come back,
For a midnight snack on my cheese and mac.
A full-blown attack after I hit the sack.
Might make me crack as they track in their pack.
If I knew what to do to bid them adieu.
That I’d pursue. It would get me through.
This feeling's so blue from my infested view.
Shoo! Shoo! Shoo! Shoo! Shoo! Shoe?
Grabbed my size tens, strapped up to the shins.
This’s been your last sin, my despicable friend.
Wipe off that grin and begin your running.
When I charge in, I’m declaring your end.
Into the unknown, I alone was flown.
Fear in their tone, hiss, groan and moan.
They’ll not roam a single bone in my home.
Blown they’ll be shown right out of this zone.
Through with the chat. Take this! Take that!
Now you're a fat cat and you’d better scat.
Or soon we’ll combat. You’ll be flat as a mat!
Splat! Splat! Splat! And that is that!
